Mary's prayers were answered. Edward had became part of her life. They began spending a lot of time together. The two of them looked like the old couple in a way. MWhen they were together, Mary and Edward looked happy. In the next several weeks they found out they had a lot of things in common. Her job in the service was Edward's hobby. She helped him set up a better display of radios. On the weekends, they went hiking through the hills and if they had three day weekend they headed for the mountains to do some camping. Mary did not care much for the shore because it remined her of her late husband.
Edward enjoyed Mary's company more than anyone else. She was the only one that he found that would laugh at his one-liners. He did not want to admit to himself that he was falling in love with her. He could not believe that this woman who traveled the world was willing to settle down in her home town.
Mary also enjoyed Edward's company. She was unable to concede to the idea that here was a man who could enjoy her comp0any without trying to take her to bed. Mary's own jokes and stories wWhen ever Mary had some free time during the day, she would find Edward and ride with him wherever his bus route would take him. They became know as a p-air. The Authority had no complaints especially since her grandfather was on the Board of Directors.
Their biggest obstacle in their relationship was Edward's wife. She was unwilling to five him a divorce. They attended marriage counselling sessions and she realized that was not going to work. She then tried to prove that she was pregnant by him but when the baby was born it was a year ofter he left her. During that year, Edward was spending whatever free time that he with Mary. Finally Edward's wife conceded to the divorce. When the papers arrived, Edward rushed over to Mary's office and showed them to her. That night, they celebrated his freedom.
Later at Mary's apartment, Edward brought up the subject love and marriage.
"Mary, during this past year, I have learned to love you ore than I thought possible. At this time I would like to know if you have any feelings towards me?"
"Yes, I do."
Edward got up out of his chair and walked over to where Mary was sitting on the couch. He sat down beside her and pulled her close. "I have learned that there are a lot of things that we have in common and still a lot that we don't. I am willing to learn more about you. I would like for you to become my wife after I buy my house. In otherswords, Will you marry me?"
"Yes, I will. Edward, I love you so uch. I have not felt this way in a long time."
He the lifted her chin and kissed her. His hands started roaming over her body and Mary did not resist the temptation. She reached up behind her and turned off the light. To Edward, that was a clue that she was not going to resist any advances that he was foing to make tonight. Through out the entire love making, Edward kept telling her that he loved her and wanted her to be his wife. Mary agreed to everything, her inner heart had opened up to him. Neither of them expected what happened nest, Edward was not planning to go all the way with her but Mary did not resist him on anything.
Mary lead Edward to the bedroom. After entering the room, she proceeded on undressing him. His hand continued to play with her body. Their desire rose in them to a height that they could not resist it any more. Edward and Mary satisified their desire. After their desire was satisfied, both of them fell to sleep.
