Edward started to change. He did not come over as much as he use to. She asked him about this and he game some lame excuse. she told him that it sounded like he was becoming a "Momma's Boy" Edward denied the whole thing. He stated that his mother would not pick his friends. To save the argument, Mary did not persue the matteer any further. Mary decided to keep whatever she heard to herself.

Whenever Maary asked about his parents, Edward advoided the subject. Mary stated to do the same checking on her own. She found out that Edward was cheating on her. Edward was coing over to her apartment and telling her about on the women he worked with and two girls that he knew from school. Mary had no wish to hear about these women, but Edward continued anyway. After several months of this, Mary told him that she wanted to know where their relationship stood.

"Mary, we are friends and nothing more," Edward told her.

"If that is the case then we are no longer lovers."

"You are the only woman that I have done it with since my divorce and will be the only one," Edward said. "Someday you will be my wife."

"We shall see," was all Mary could say.

Two weeks later, Mary saw Edward with a girlfriend of hers from work. He was taking her home. That night, Mary confronted Edward. "I do know know what you are trying to do to me, but if I am going to be your wife that means that you are not allowed to see anyone else."

"I can see who I want to at any given time, We are only friends. I do not have to answer to you for anything." Edward stated. Before he left that night, "Mary, I love you. You are going to be my wife."

She did not believe him, She gave me a call to come over. I spend the next several days with her.

The next evening as she was sitting at home woking on a sweater for Edward, she received a phone call.

"Mary?"

"Yes?"

"Edward doesn't love you any more, so leave him alone."

"Who is this?" It was useless, the caller had hanged up the phone.

She looked at me and cried.

"Mary, I have always been here and always will be here for you" I said as I gathered into my arms as a sister should.

On the following evening, we saw Edward kissing another woman. She walked up to them, Mary tapped him on his shoulder.

"Mary?" Edward sxclaimed with surprise.

Mary's only answer was slapping him acrosse the face. After slapping him, she ran acrossed the street before I could stop her.
