"Mary, wake up," Edward stated when he woke up the morning.

"What? Let me sleep," Mary stated as she batted his hand.

"Do you relized what we did lastnight?"

"What are you talking about?" Mary asked as she sat up in bed. "Oh, my God. Forgive me for wwhat I did last night"

"You realise what we did then. We spent the night together."

"Yes, I realize it," Mary said as she reached for her robe. "The thing now, are we going to feel quilty about it."

"I don't know about you but I am not going to be quilty," Edward then pulled Mary back into the bed for a repeart performance. "I love you, Mary."

"I love you, too," Mary stated before she gave into their desires.

Several hours later, Mary woke up laying in Edward's arm. She gently climbed out of the bed so that she did not distrub his sleep. Putting on her robe, she walked into the kitchen to start the coffee maker for some hot water. She then went into the bathroom to take a hot shower. As she washed herself, she remembered last night and this morning. ary finished the shower and dried herself off. She put on the robe again and walked into the kitchen. There she made a meal for Edward and herself. When it was completed, Mary took it into the bedroom.

"Edward, it is time to get up," Mary whispered gently into his ear.

"What is that wonderful smell?"

"That is something to eat, if you want it?" she said as he started to get out of the bed. "Just stay there, I brought the meal to you."

They sat on the bed and talked about what their future held for them now. They agreed to the most important thing nnow was to save what money they could for a house. Edward got up and took the tray out to the kitchen and started washing the dishes. Mary followed him out and helped him by drying them. Whe the dishes were done, Edward left for the afternoon promising to return that night.

Their relationship remained the same for several more months the same way. He would come over to see Mary on the weekends and staying over during that time. Mary never did get to meet his parents. When she asked about seeing them , he game some kind of lame excuse about his parents. Finally she put an ultimatum to him. He gave in and took her to see them.

His parents greeted her with open arms. They were happy that their son finally met someone who was willing to take care of their son. Only one thing marred the meeting. Mary found out about it by accident. She had over heard his mother and sister talking about her past. It was terrible. What they were talking about was not about her at all. It must have been someone else, but who. Mary knew for sure that she never slept with another man between the time of her husand's death and the weekend that Edward proposed to her. She also knew that whe people didn't like her, they would creat rumors just to hurt her.
