Chapter 1 : First Day
Ayano
HEAVENLY… that’s what I first thought as I saw the aerial view of the Academy.
I never thought such thing exists. It was floating in the ocean. The freaking island was artificial and it is floating!
I was so amazed at what I see.
‘I didn’t know such thing exists! I feel like my sixteen years living had gone to waste at what I am seeing right now’
“Stay seated as we are about to land this baby!” the pilot said.
I looked at the woman sitting infront of me and got uncomfortable all of a sudden. Ms. Farrah De Courdrey, the woman who was sent by the academy to accompany me to the school, was looking at me intently. I suddenly felt intimidated at the way she looks at me, scrutinizing and studying every bit of me.
“You’re really not her…” she said.
I fight the urge to frown. Curiosity got the better in me.
“Who's 'her'?” I suddenly blurted out what’s on my mind. I mentally cursed myself and was about to take back the question when she spoke…
“ Someone I know before. A crazy little girl.” I saw her smile as she looks outside the window.
“Your face reminded me of her…well except for your eyes and your hair.” She sighed again. "Don’t mind me. It’s just me being sentimental again.”
I felt sad. I can see pain and sorrow on her eyes and I suddenly felt sad. I became too emotional all of a sudden.
Maybe because I was domesticated and never socialized with other people other than the maids and my family and never had any emotional contact with others. I’m currently having one right now and it felt so sad, I wanna cry.
She looked at me and frowned, “ Why the hell are you crying?”
“I-I’m sorry, you just felt so sad and I-I was caught on your emotion and it’s my first time to have emotional contact with other people other than my family and you sounded so sad and I can’t stop myself from crying---"
“Shut it!” she throws a box of tissue to me. “Wipe your eyes! My goodness! You look so stupid, you disgust me…” she rolled her eyes.
“By crying?” I asked in confusion.
“Yes. If you’re enrolling here, you have to be strong. You don’t know what you just entered and now you have sold your soul to the devil. You’re such an idiot!" She said as she looked at me full of irritation.
I just bowed my head and wiped my eyes.
“Prepare yourself… We’re here.” She said.
WE ENTERED the huge gate after out jet had landed. The whole place was silent.
You could not see any person roaming around.
I noticed the corner of the wall and the ceiling, there are some small round black balls with wires connecting it together, forming a straight horizontal line. I could see those in every top of the walls.
“What are those?” I asked Ms. De Courdrey as we walk.
“CCTV and Hologram projector.” My eyes widened in amusement.
CCTV? We have CCTVs at home but it doesn’t even look like that. The size of these can be compared to a walnut! The glass door automatically opened.
