The sounds of battle whirling around her, Lighttail felt her power surging through her and she let out a fearsome screech before jumping into the battle, rain streaming through her fur as the clouds finally released their anger. She felt a lump of fur pin her throat down, and down she went, struggling against the claws that were slowly drawing the breath out of her body. Panic swirled through her mind, as darkness threatened to overtake her, but she let it go, remembering Gorseclaw's words, and with a might twist she wriggled free, only to scream as her attacker took a chunk of her fur with him.

She turned around and her attacker, a tom with white and black fur, took a step back, his eyes looking over her. "Do I know you?" He asked, and as Lighttail looked closer she let out a gasp. This cat in front of her was Cam! "Cam?" She mewed, astonished, as he suddenly went under a sea of pelts. Shaking her head, Lighttail gazed around her and saw that Val, Mare, Jade, Dee, Hank, and Fin were all fighting on DarkClan's side.

I wonder where Gino and Billy are... Hopefully they decided not to fight, and they're not dead... Lighttail forced her thoughts down. She was in the middle of a battle and it was time to focus. A streak of ginger fur ran past her, and she jumped onto it, pinning it to the ground. As she looked down Lighttail noticed that this cat was barley an apprentice, and was struggling with panic. "Please don't kill me!" The tom squeaked, trembling from head to tail. Sympathy ran through Lighttail and she loosened her grip.

"You better run and never come back," she growled, guilt swimming around her insides. "NOW GO!" She released him and the tom bolted out of the clearing. Suddenly a she-cat barreled into her and she felt herself tussling with a tortoiseshell she-cat, who began to snarl and swipe blows at Lighttail's pelt. White hot pain rushed through her as the tortoiseshell clawed the tip of her ear off, and letting out an anguished yowl Lighttail clawed the tortoiseshells leg, and felt blood trickle down her ear as the tortoiseshell screeched in pain.

The she-cat and Lighttail tumbled across the ground, beating one another up until Lighttail could barley go on. Summoning all her strength Lighttail pushed up and threw the she-cat off her, and scrambled to her paws before disappearing into the crowd of screeching cats before the tortoiseshell could aim another blow at her. Scanning the clearing, Lighttail saw Ravenflight battling with Thriftear and Finleap, Silver tussling with Thorntooth, Hare and Leaf fighting Julie, Petal, Barkfur, and Twigbranch, Violetshine, and many other of her clanmates fighting with the DarkClan members.

Mistystar was sending brutal blows at four strong DarkClan she-cats, while Kass and Betsy, two other LightClan members battled with one huge ex-SkyClan tom, who was pushing them into the mud. The stench of blood hung in the air, and Lighttail's stomach clenched as the rain beat over the bodies of her fallen clanmates, ones that Lighttail didn't want to know who. Suddenly a snarl echoed behind her and Lighttail whipped around to see Jade jumping at her, claws outstretched. Lighttail dodged the attempt and slid under Jade's belly before bucking her up and landing neatly on her paws.

Jade scrambled back and the two she-cats reared up, throwing blows at one another. Jade caught Lighttail hard on the cheek and Lighttail stumbled back, sliding around in the mud. Seizing a chance to get the upper paw Jade pounced and began to claw at Lighttail's belly. Lighttail twisted and jumped over Jade before landing behind her and biting down hard on her tail. Jade let out a screech and yanked her wounded tail free before racing away, yowling in pain.

Panting, Lighttail stopped to catch her breath when a laugh echoed from behind her, and turning, she saw Ravenflight running before he barreled Lighttail to the mud, Lightning illuminating his matted pelt as he pinned Lighttail's throat to the ground. Fear threatening to overwhelm her Lighttail wriggled in his grasp, gasping for breath. "Ravenflight, don't do this..." she stopped as Ravenflight's grip tightened on her throat, until she couldn't breath.
