Bright but cozy is the entire motif of the coffee shop Becky and Seth are in. Dozens of hanging lamps were sprucely arranged —lights still out though, as it was afternoon. There were large potted houseplants, some small cacti and the furniture were in different shades of beige or maroon. The dimly-lit interior made the windows stand out as they reflect the sunlight in such a beautiful way where the glass glistened.

Seth gave himself a pat on the back for being able to find a seat where he could admire the view at the window and as well as perfectly sight Becky who was currently standing in a queue to order them drinks from the counter.

He smiles, admiring how Becky's usual curly hair was puffier today, making it look softer and brighter especially in the gentle glow of the sun from where she was standing. As Becky scrolls through her phone, she looks up and meets Seth's eyes like she felt a gaze on her. She gives Seth a look as if to ask, what are you staring at?

Nothing. Seth shrugs and feels his cheeks flush, not expecting to be caught by Becky.

The latter smirks and shakes her head. Weirdo. She goes back to using her phone.

Becky finally hears her name being called by the barista, she was handed a tray with her and Seth's drinks on it. As Becky turns, the tray almost collides with a black-haired woman who was also rushing to the counter.

"Whoops, I'm so sorry..." She hastily checks to see if there were any spilled contents while still tightly holding up the tray.

"No worries! I was the one that wasn't looking." The lady's pale skin made her striped, flashy-colored jumpsuit really stick out. She looks up at Becky and recognition flashes through her face.

She points at her, unsure. "Becky?" She asks slowly.

"Yes?" She replies with an equal amount of uncertainty— possibly even more.

"Oh, hi! Sorry, I'm Billie." She extends her hand to shake.

Since Becky's hands were both occupied, she had to fumble with the tray for a bit and quickly searched for a platform to place it. She settles for the counter then shakes her hand. Have we met? She thinks. She resisted the strong urge to verbalise it though, as she'd rather avoid the risk of coming across as rude or offensive so she just smiles awkwardly instead.

As if reading her mind, she says, "We haven't properly met." She rolls her eyes guiltily. "I've just heard a lot about you from Sami actually!" She adds cheerfully. Billie flips her long hair and Becky remains dumbfounded. What exactly does she mean by "a lot"?

"He's actually just outside. I told him I'd be quick in buying the drinks but I forgot the pastries, so I just had to go back!" She chuckles, waving the paper bag in her hand. "It's not my fault my hands are too small to hold orders for two people, you know?"

Becky really couldn't keep up with Billie's continuous chattering. In fact, she was still stuck on the last thing she said about Sami.

"Speaking of, there he is right there!"

Eyes widening, Becky looks past Billie and sure enough, she sees Sami walking towards them.

Sami meets her stare and returns the stupefied look. "Becky?"

Becky just slightly nods at the acknowledgement, quickly looking away.

"Ahem, so you've met Billie, a real pain in the neck." Sami says, earning him Billie's elbow to his side and making him laugh a bit uncomfortably.

From the table, Seth glances back at Becky from his trance at the window. Seth had noted Becky's look of discomfort with the way her foot bounces and she looks around the place avoiding the faces of the two people in front of her.
