Nothing, Seth is still not talking. Becky waited for Seth to continue, yet she was just met with his stare. She broke it first, though. Becky is still in shock because of firstly: the very crude manner Seth just spoke in. Secondly, as it transpired, he was simply listening the entire time Becky was mindlessly spewing out all her feelings, and thirdly, embarrassment because of this.

But also, Becky didn't know where to begin with what to say to Seth for the first time since the incident.

She gulped, starting to feel her nerves. "You're alright?"

"Not quite." Seth said with a slight chuckle, moving their restrained hands for emphasis.

Duh, what a dumb thing to ask. Becky chewed on her lip, the guilt building up again.

"You came back." Seth then says, interrupting the anxiety bubble up in Becky's mind.

They were staring away from each other but somehow Becky could hear the smile in his voice. Without missing a beat, she replies. "Yeah, I did." As if it was the obvious and only thing to do.

There was silence again and Becky couldn't handle it. She still doesn't know what Seth felt with her being there. In fact, she didn't know if Seth has even forgiven her— or if what she felt was requited, though mostly the former.

"I can hear you thinking," Seth says, amusement still evident in his tone.

Hopefully not what I'm thinking.

Becky just stutters, trying to come up with a response. Honestly, it still baffles her how Seth can sound cheerful right now.

Seth laughs, he then pauses before eventually saying, "Did you mean everything you said?"

Becky wanted to ask what he meant by that, although she's pretty sure they both know what Seth is talking about.

Before she could hesitate even more, she just says, "Every word."

Suddenly Becky became extremely aware of every word she had just said. While thinking Seth was too knocked out to care about what came out of her mouth, she kept ranting about what went on her head. Most of them repressed because of how unoften she dwells on what she genuinely felt.

Further to her surprise, Seth scoffs then says, "Silly, Becky."

Really breaking whatever the mood was with that single comment; Becky remains speechless.

"If I hadn't met you— let's be real, I'd be in a far worse situation than this."

Of the long speech she made, this was the primary takeaway Seth had. It wasn't the response Becky expected, though it did make her contemplate. He was right. In a way, Becky might have delayed worse casualties that were prepared for Seth by escaping him from his nightmare household— to put it that way.

"So you don't regret meeting me?" She asked meekly. I sound like a dumbass at this point, Becky thought, but she had to confirm.

Seth shakes his head, chuckling. "Under different circumstances would be preferable."

This made Becky release a sorrowful smile.

Although Seth couldn't see, he knows Becky will never stop from beating herself up so he took it in him to do something about it.

Feeling brave, Seth nudged her elbow playfully, "Becky,"—he took the redheads hand from behind, "I still love you."

Becky froze.

"I felt the most alive in those few months I spent with you."

This can't be real, he's too good to me. Becky felt like crying— again. "Gross." She teases instead, shaking her head.
