She stopped and turned around. Seeing me standing still, she cocked her head. "Why did you stop?" She asked me.

"It is hopeless!" I wailed. "I picked a flower for you, picked up a frog for you, I even protected you from the wild horse man!" Yet I still have not seen your smile.

"You want to see me smile?" She asked. "Then why didn't you ask me to smile?" She said with a puzzled look.

I hadn't thought of that. Yet, it was so simple! All I had to do was ask and she would smile for me. I had finally found a way to restore the girl's smile! "Can you smile?" I asked with a hopeful look on my face.

"No." She said.
