"Why?!" I said frustration returning to my face. "I did everything that a girl could ever want. I protected you and cared for you! Smiling once is an easy task compared to everything I have done!" I yelled.
"Well, because I don't want to." The girl responded. "And I am not like other girls. I don't want to be protected and cared for. Nor do I feel the need to smile."
"Then what do you want to do?!" I continued, not understanding why she would not simply do as I please.
"I want to walk down the gravel path." She said. "I thought you wanted to come with me." She turned around to start walking again.
"Wait!" I said. "Why do you want to walk the gravel path?" Confusion clouded my eyes.
"Because I want to." She responded. "It was fun when you were walking the gravel path with me. Do you want to continue with me?" She said.
I put my finger on my chin and pondered for a moment. "Sure, I guess." I said.
