Ella sat in Hyde's usual chair, since he was busy with Eric and Donna helping to set up some decorations. They were watching The Grinch on tv.
"Man the grinch has a big butt," Donna said, which caused Ella to laugh.
"Yes, nothing says Christmas like a big green grinch ass," Fez said with a wide smile.
"Hold the ladder for me," Donna instructed as she climbed up.
"So Eric what are you doing Christmas Eve?" Kelso wondered.
"Well the parents are having the same lame party they always have." Eric replied.
"Every year," Ella sighed. "It's so lame, I have to keep myself from screaming. Although Eric's performance in Little Drummer Boy always cheers me up."
"You're lucky I'm busy right now Ella," Eric glared across the room at her.
"Or what, you'll throw your noodle arms at me?" She scoffed before returning to the tv.
"Alright, how does that look?" Ella turned in time to see both Eric and Hyde checking out her butt.
"Looks great," they both said, not looking at the tree at all.
"Pigs," Ella huffed, turning back around. "The tree looks good Donna, might wanna get down before them boys slip in their own drool." She barely had been talking to either of the boys since thanksgiving, only when necessary.
Donna scoffed as she got down, she pushed passed the boys. "Grow up." She rolled her eyes at them.
"Oh I just love Christmas, talk about good tidings and cheer," Jackie simpered. "Oh and shopping."
Hyde came over to where Ella sat and nudged her from the chair, she sighed as she got up only to be pulled into his lap. She fought down the blush that tried to pop up. "Yeah I'm sure that's what Jesus was going for."
"Hey I give too," she gave him a look. "Every year my friends and I give gift baskets to the unfortunate."
"I think you mean less fortunate," Ella laughed.
"Right, whatever, bums," Jackie rolled her eyes.
Kitty came into the room and skipped over to the tv. "Oh what are you watching cartoons for, Holiday Inn is on," she flipped to the channel and started humming along with the song. "Eric come help me get the decorations." He followed her to the back.
"You know what the best Christmas gift of all time is?" Kelso sighed, without waiting for an answer he continued. "Lite Brite. It's fun making things with Lite Brite." Everyone looked at him like he was a child. "Well it is."
"My favorite gift is cash," Hyde said with a smirk. "You can get whatever you want then. Right Donna?" She nodded. "Like let's say someone gave you six dollars and some change, what would be a good gift with that?"
"Hyde it doesn't matter how much it costs," Donna replied. "It's the thought put into the gift."
"Yeah, I'd rather get a meaningful gift, than something expensive but useless." Hyde glanced at Ella without her seeing, noticing she was wearing the shirt he got her again.
"You know what really means a lot?" Jackie asked. "Diamonds." She gave Kelso a stern look. Suddenly everyone jumped as screaming could be heard, Kitty booked it up the stairs.
"What happened?" Ella held a hand to her chest.
"We found a Christmas rat," Eric said, trying to regain his composure. Everyone scattered, the girls and Fez running out the door and the boys going to check out the rat.
