Chapter 4

Sabrina’s Pov -

After the whole glancing game , i never saw Peyton but he did leave a text message saying he had to go home early . I replied “ Ok , see you tmr :) “ 

He didn’t reply afterwards . 

When i got home , it was already 9.30 pm . I never go to bed until 10 so i went ahead to grab a snack from the cupboard . Mum came downstairs and asked if i wanted any supper . I shook my head and walked straight to my room . 

I was lying down on my bed , face up towards the ceiling , thinking of Peyton and nervous about tomorrow’s filming . Then i heard my phone rang . 

It was Peyton . 

“ Hey , you still up? “

“ No , this is her voicemail speaking “ I said sarcastically 

“ Hah right sorry , hope i’m not bothering your beauty sleep or anything . I’m kinda nervous about tomorrow “

“ Ah well don’t be . It’ll be fine , you did amazing during the audition . What could possibly go wrong “

“ You’re right . I don’t have to worry , as long as you’re there “

“ I’m there “

“ Thanks , i’ll see you tomorrow . Goodnight “

“ Yea see ya , goodnight Pey “

I’ve always been there and i don’t think its something he’ll ever lose even if it means i’ll have to stay as his friend for as long as we both live . I placed my phone down on my side table and turned back to face the ceiling . I was blushing . I was thinking of our conversation . 

“ As long as you’re there “ His voice keeps playing back in my head . 

I smiled . Turned off the lamp and closed my eyes . 

Peyton’s Pov - 

I felt bad not seeing Sabrina after the script reading . I had to rush home for an emergency which apparently wasn’t an emergency at all . Truns out my brother scored for his team for the first time and it made them qualified for the final game and the entire family wants to celebrate by having dinner outside . They made it sound like an emergency so i’d be home quick to get ready . 

After i got home from dinner i called Sabrina , hoping she would still be awake because it was already half past 10 . I was nervous about tomorrow and i know Sabrina always knows the right thing to say . 

I called and she answered .

The call didn’t last for more than 5 minutes but her voice kept repeating itself inside my head 

“I’m there” 

She always has been and it made me feel good inside knowing she has never left . I smiled at the thought of it and went straight to bed .
