Paulo's POV

7am. It's freaking 7am! Why do I have to endure this pathetic traffic! I frustratedly brushed my hair up. I need coffee, damn.

I looked over the side of the road and saw a cafe bookstore. I quickly took my car to a slight turn towards the cafe. "Louville Cafe Bookstore" as the name of the coffee shop says.

Umorder kaagad ako ng coffee pag pasok ko. Syempre, matamis na kape para sa nakakabugnot na umaga. Mocha capuccino.

"Your order will be up in a while Sir." Sabi ng barista.

Ang tagal naman ng coffee ko. I quickly glanced over the entire cafe. Few people are chatting on the tables inside. Over the right side of the counter are shelves of books. Ah, yes, books. I decided to check it out.

I walked over one shelf and another trying to look for something I can read. I've stopped over a not-so-thick novel. "Turned Pages", as the title says.

I like the cover of the book. It's so aesthetically pleasing. Luckily, the book has no plastic cover so I'll be able to read it. I turned the pages and started browsing.

Dedication:
To you who was once mine, and to our story which was once ours.

Nice. I stopped flipping the 2nd page as I read it. Nanlaki ang mata ko sa aking nabasa. Teka. Parang alam ko 'to.

The 2nd page was very familiar to me. Oh my god! Para akong nauupos na kandila habang binabasa ang 2nd page ng libro.

My Love,
You mean the world to me, I say this from the bottom of my heart. You have proven to me that love doesn't cost a thing, because I can't possibly imagine what I could have done to deserve this kind of love, thank you for sharing a part of your heart with me, I promise to handle and guide it with my life. I will love you forever and nothing can change that.

Love,
Paulo

I looked at the cover of the book again. My heart immediately ached upon seeing the name of the author. Rodine Anica Cruz. Shit.
