Dancing in the dark by Rihanna  played loudly in the whole house. The incident that happened last week still replayed in my head sometimes, i honestly felt a bit shaken after that night.

My huge bratz shirt and matching short and socks made me so comfortable as a danced round the house and cooked in the kitchen with my mom. It was Emily's twenty fourth birthday and she decided to have a little party in my house pool. I mean why not I was beginning to think maybe I couldn't have a conversation with someone without using ferocious words.

"So what do you think?" Emily asked while she came down the stairs in a short silver, low neck gown. She looked perfect her blonde hair flowing down  her back.

I smiled back at her
"Perfect Em now hurry up and come and taste dishes we've made for today"

"Hell no I'm not messing this makeup up"

"What are you wearing darling" Mom scoffed at Em and faced me.
Honestly I never thought of staying down all day I mean I hardly knew any of Em friends but I couldn't tell mom that she'd never agree

"The blue gown you bought during Christmas last year momma"

"Okay darling. Anyways Emily dear have fun okay your only twenty four once"
With that she left. We had finished cooking the meal for the few guests. Me and my mom enjoy cooking but mostly we enjoy doing it together.
Being an only child out of multiple miscarriages me and my mom were inseparable. My dad was never around until I was fifteenand I heard the man had died I felt nothing that day well neither did my mom at least that's what I thought the woman didn't shed a single tear.

Few moments later of running up and down making final touches guests began  coming in.
I recognized only two out of Like eighteen people those were Jacob from Emily's store who had asked me out on a date one which I nicely refused and her elder brother Eric who was a hottie by the way.

I went back to my room shortly after I wasn't feeling  the party anyways. I reviewed a few files then had my bath then changed into another pair of power puff girls short shorts with a huge shirt and socks.

Downstairs sounded quiet the party had finished or at least almost. I came down got a bar of chocolate from the freezer then walked to the pool, only five people were left.

Emily called me over she was so happy she had even changed into a bikini.
"So...."

"I can't thank enough addy thank you" pulling me into for a hug

"Of course baby. I've been reviewing some papers I completely lost track of time.."
My breath hitched when I saw him the aggressive dude from last week bare chested, holding a drink and staring right at me

In my goddam house

You've got to be kidding me.

Khalil's POV

Glancing at the clock at the store the short hand struck five I grabbed my keys and left the bar yelling out to Damien to let him know I'm leaving and yes that was a rule so I won't lose my supposed third job this week.

I entered my truck and drove to the address emily had sent me. It was her birthday and I honestly just needed some booze but the asshole told me that alcohol was limited so I branched a store got some and resumed my journey.

Emily was one of those smart kids in my school but she decided to follow her heart  well she owns coffee shop and she's got a kid but she's doing well for herself at least better than i was.

I reached the house and double checked to see if she was messing with me cause it was huge but I mean I had lived in a huge house but this was sleek. I knocked then she answered.

"Party's already over?" I asked cause the place was quite quiet.

"Yeah but your people are at the back" she finger quoted the people.

Anyways we walked to the pool out back
"You look hot by the way"

She turned to look at me in her heels she was technically same height as me.
"Shut it khalil"

"Okay ma'am"
I spotted Eric Emily's brother, jacob, Nate and Alisha the five year couple and camille let's just say she good at giving head Probably why Eric still has that chick.
"Yoo Ric what's up man" I shook Eric and jacob while callie kissed my cheeks then i removed my shirt and gulped down my drink. The sun was hot but it was still calming.

I engaged in a conversation with Nate about their upcoming wedding while I argued with Eric about being best man when  a familiar scent hit me then I turned to see her.

She had a chocolate bar in her hands and she was rambling about some bullshit but I couldn't get my eyes off her lips.

Until her eyes meet mine I could sense rage and honestly it was quite entertaining.

"Wtf" she cursed out loud making heads turn to her then she reddened in a second and walked towards me.
"Can I speak to you in private? "

Oh well she wasn't going to get the chance
"Sorry what was that? "

She closed her eyes and probably counted to ten then pulled me up
"Get out"

"What's wrong addy?" Emily intervened

"Noting Emily it's just me and this..person aren't really on good terms" She stammered

"I don't know who you are" I told her poker faced

"Stop bullshitting me so please just leave before I call the cops "

Okay this just got serious I picked up my shirt and began buttoning it

"Addy talk to me what wrong He is a friend a very good one at that" Emily yelled at her

"He assaulted me! Okay now get your.." before she finished her sentence everyone else also stood up

"Did you really khalil?" Nate asked me definitely not believing her bull shit.

"I held your arm for a few minutes now I'm a psycho rapist how nice of you" I said to addy

"Who the fuck do you think you are, yes I was assaulted by some useless freak who thought maybe if he threaten me a little more i might lose my guard"

Now the bitch was getting on my nerves
"Why in Gods name would I want to have anything to do with you"

"Why wouldn't you?"

"You think so highly of your self meanwhile deep down there an insecure bitch doing things she isn't supposed to do just to prove to her self that  she's worth living well to burst your bubble your not"

And with that I left grinning cause the look on her face after those words were priceless.
