Adriana's POV
It was Elise's birthday. I got her a dog but I had keep him to myself cause of Emily's allergies so I ended up getting her a doll house and a box of extra sugary doughnuts.
"Thank you Aunty A" Elise said jumping up and down on her mother's favourite couch.
"Get down from there Elise!" Emily yelled from the kitchen.
"Aunty A mommy never lets me do anything fun I mean it's my birthday " She grumbled.
She was a bowl of cuteness and honestly I didn't see her more than that but since that incident with Damien I tried to let loose just a little any way.
He got tired of me calling him every week asking about Khalil and it seems like he isn't coming back any time soon so i could do something nice for someone else.
"Aunty A can we go to the park?"
And here she was in front of me my first official charity proof.
"You know what we could jump on all the couches and let mommy yell at as while we eat doughnuts"
She shrieked at the idea. I got us both doughnut and then I removed my heels and jacket while I remained in my sleeveless pink gown that reached my knee but when we began jumping on all the couches, eating doughnuts and screaming it came up to my upper thighs.
Emily's screams were so worth it chasing us all round the house with no effort. I hadn't had so much fun in a long time and Elise looked so happy it made me happy me so excited I screamed harder.
The doorbell rang and Emily ran to open the door I knew it was mom cause I told her to bring a few drinks for me until a familiar scent hit me.

Khalil's POV
I got back in town a few weeks after the wine tasting ceremony with my Dad and my Mom trying to hook me up with more than half of the ladies at the event. I mean her junior colleagues were hot I mean my mom is a model at 47 she doesn't make as much or look as much but they all respect her.
My junior sister didn't make it pregnancy and all women issues.
Damien told me how Adriana asked him what I was interested in I felt flustered at first but I quickly remembered that day and I got mad in a second.
My God daughter was turning seven today it made me very happy so I and gerald decided to surprise Elise and Emily. With Two cakes in Geralds hands and huge barbie doll In mine we knocked at the door.
Emily opened sweating like she just ran a marathon.
"Gerald Kay omg come in you guys are the best"
"Oh I know I'm the best" Gerald boasted
Giving us both side hugs and dropping the cakes in the kitchen
"Are you okay Em you look terrible " I asked while we strode into the living room
"You won't believe what Elise and Addy..." the rest made no sense once I saw her in a babypink short gown laughing while Elise jumped up and down on the couch.
"Uncle Kay!" Elise yelled and ran to me while I carried her up in the air and down then I handed her the doll.
"Your the best uncle" Kissing my cheek she ran off to show Emily and my eyes returned to Adriana's whose eyes were still trained on me.
I strode slowly towards her watching her chest rise and fall. Her peachy scent filling my nostrils I stood in front of her leaving the distance between us as little as possible.
"Did you miss me Adriana?" I breathed into her face. I saw her bite her lip lord she was driving me crazy.
"No" She whispered like it burned her.
"Liar" I touched her ear lobe, she leaned in.
"Did you?"
She finally looked me in my eyes ready to give me the answers I needed.
"Queen" someone called so we both turned to the voice seeing an elderly woman.
"Mom" Adriana said and walked up the woman but her eyes were on me with so much hatred before they left.
"Khalil?" Emily called out
"Huh?"
"You okay? "
"Sure why wouldn't I be" I smiled at her.
The rest of the night Adriana refused to look at me or even talk to me.
I decided to tuck Elise in tonight
"Uncle Kay I had so much fun today"
"Yes me too baby" I kissed her forehead
"Aunty A made me so happy we jumped on mommy couch and ate my favourite doughnuts " she smiled heartily then she pulled my ears closer
"I saw the way Aunty A looked at you when you walked in. I even hear mom and her talking about you". She whispered
"Okay baby that's enough for one night. I love you okay" and with that I left to the balcony to smoke.
Her scent filled my nostrils again I hear her walk into the balcony and stand beside me.
"Smoke?" I offered
"I used to, not anymore"
"Your mom doesn't like me" I stated
"You out of many "
She shifts her gaze to mine
"Would you like to go on a date with me?"
Honestly I wasn't shocked she wasn't one to beat around the Bush
"And why would I do that? "
She lowers her gaze and sniffles. She walks far and near three times her fingers were constantly fighting each other.
"I'm sorry" She apologises sincerely gazing into my eyes.
All this act for a single sorry she must be really egotistic.
"Just kiss me" I rumbled needily. The need to take her here and now is so strong.
Her soft lips land on mine. We start out slow till we were catching our breaths. Her eyes filled with intense desire.
I rest my chin on her head while her face on my chest and her arms around me.
"So this is till you find a meaningful one night stand right?"
That instant she let's me go
"I... this.... was a mistake"
Like I saw this coming I held unto her arm
"I'm not some piece of candy Adriana I'm a human being with feelings"
"Oh like I don't know that" She hissed
The silence in the balcony was deafening but it was needed. My eyes raked her features how could someone so beautiful be so hard hearted.
"I hate you now more than Adriana" I spoke softly but with evident hatred in my voice.
She heaved heavily
"Whatever comes first"
Leaving behind her peachy scent her back swayed till it disappeared.
