Adriana's POV

"Meetings over " I announced and told Chloe to bring my files over to my office while I walked down it's been quite long I took a moment to appreciate the empire in front of me.

"Ma'am?"

"Yes chloe you have a package "

I turned away from the huge glass window
"But I didn't order anything "

"It has a Note ma'am" Offering me the beige coloured paper she took her leave.

I admired the huge yellow sunflowers on my table, getting flowers or other gifts have always been strictly professional but this definitely didn't seem so.

I opened the note.

I instantly felt bad for yelling at him that day but the man wouldn't budge.
I debated calling and apologising but that seemed abit unprofessional since we were just friends .

"You did what?!!"
Yelling for the umpteenth time, Emily had her avocado mask on and whenever her eyes widened it made me laugh.
"You called him a what?"

"Meaningless one night stand"

"No the other one"

"Mothers boy?"

"Yes! Why would you say that? "

Honestly I had no idea why it just seemed right at the time.
"I don't know Em"

"Well you shouldn't. He was once you know "

"Mama's boy? "

Well isn't this interesting?

"Yeah lost the girl he loved in high school cause of that still talks about her till today"

"I Didn't mean it Em I feel bad not horrible but bad"

"You heartless woman" She eyed me before walking into her bathroom to removed the mask.

"So what does he like? You know so I can apologise in a grand style "

"Well juice boxes, yummy bears..."

"I asked what Khalil likes not Elise"

"I know I heard you clearly. Khalil like strange things for an adult I mean it's not so strange but it's a bit childish"

"A bit?"

"Okay he loves his truck and look if you want to know I could hook you up with Damien"

After collecting his digits I turned to leave when Emily called me
"Yes?"

"I beg of you Adriana if you aren't going to be serious just stay away. He doesn't need another problem on his hands" She said half smiling.

I was going to ignore the fact she called me a problem and focus more on the fact that she cared about Khalil so much and She had never called my full name before.
