Adriana's POV

"Do you Christian Nathaniel take Rachael Carter to be your lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold from this day forth, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death do you part"

"I do"

"Do you Rachael Carter take Christian Nathaniel to be your lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold from this day forth, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish till death do you part"

"I do"

"I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride"

The church filled with applause for the new couple as the walked down the aisle to the car that took them to the hall where they had already prepared for the guest. Elise hadn't left Khalils side even once, she said he was her date tonight leaving me watching over a very sad Emily. She looked stunning in her silver gown with beautiful jewellery and silver heels but the needed adornment was a smile on her face.

Eric clincked his fork softly against his glass of champagne calling for a toast. Once everywhere was calm, he began.
"I knew Nathaniel when he and khalil bullied me in high school...."

My eyes locked with Khalil's then he shrugged and smiled.

" .....He really got on my nerves so bad one day I threw one extra huge prank in chemistry laboratory and they got blamed for it and got detention for a whole week. I thought when they saw me next they'd beat me to a pulp but no they just smiled and congratulated me. From that day a weird lifetime friendship was formed. We were inseparable. I remember when he met Rachael for the first time he just got over a breakup he wasn't interested but she walked over to him, bought him a drink and wrote her number on a napkin and left Nathaniel shocked. She loved him before he even fell for her but when he did I promise you thier love was so strong it made me believe in love"

That last sentence earned a laugh from the crowd.

"Now let's raise a glass to the newly wedded couple. I love you guys so much. This was more of an essay about your best friend but you get what you order for. To Nathaniel and Rachael!"

Another round of laughs to the raising of glasses for cheers, the couple moved over to the dance floor and began dancing to perfect by Ed Sheeran. Emily rose up from her seat and left the hall with a bottle of champagne. I turned to follow her just before Nathaniel rushed out after her, i quietly followed behind them.

"You bastard, how could you? Perfect really that was our song!" Emily whisper-yelled inbetween sobs.

"I had no idea that was what was going to play. Emily you know I hate it when you cry you said you were happy for me" Nate argued

"I am. I am. I just didn't expect you to slow dance to the song I told you we were going to dance on our wedding day with someone else. That's a low blow Nate a very low blow" Emily said breathing heavily through her nose.

"Rachael also loves the song I didn't think she'd actually chose this"

"Oh really. I'm very happy for you, very. It's just going to take time to see you like this"

"How much time Em. Its been four years already" Nate said close to yelling before he tuned down to whispering again.
"I'm sorry okay. I just can't bear you crying. Let's go in I'm sure Elise is looking for you"

"Go in. I'll join you in a minute"

At that moment Nathaniel's footsteps came towards where i was hiding and listening. I tried to walk faster but someone pinned me to the wall hiding me from Nathaniel as he walked by.

"You do know it's wrong to spy on people right?" He asked smirking.

"I wasn't..."
He just slammed his lips on mine. He tasted like champagne and chocolate, I loved it. I ran my hands through his hair and pulled him closer.

"You look hot" He pulled away, moving his hands all around my body.

"You too" I smiled, tugging at his tie.

His tongue glided the top of his bottom teeth as he smirked. I clenched my thighs together and bit my lower lip.

"You had lots on eyes on you tonight" He whispered on my skin.

"Oh really. Well I wouldn't blame them"

"My mom wants us for dinner tomorrow..."

"You two just get a freaking room!"
Eric yelled interrupting khalil making us pull apart, Khalil throwing daggers at Eric for ruining our moment.

Later, the party was over. Nathaniel and Rachel had gotten on the plane to Tokyo for their honeymoon. Jacob had come to pick up Emily and Elise, Emily actually smiled today when Nathaniel had his Father-Daughter Dance with Elise. Honestly it made me cry when Khalil also danced with Elise she had the time of her life today considering her smile all through the day.

Getting home I checked my mobile and found out I had ten missed called from my mom. I grunted and called her back and waited for the worst.

"Hello mother"

"Queen"

Silence

"Mother is there a reason you called?"

"I'm sorry dear. I shouldn't have acted that way it was wrong of me."
Oh mom

"Its fine mom. I understand your feelings, Khalil makes me happy mom and I want him in my life mother. I want you to accept him as a son mother"

She coughed before responding
"Its alright. The Dankworths invited me over for dinner tomorrow."

"I guess we would see tomorrow then"

"Goodnight queen"

I cut the phone call and slumped on the couch. Tomorrow was going to be long day. Fully in my thoughts I didn't notice when Khalil slid in beside me.

"I see you and you mom have settled the problem"

I turned to look at him
"You do know it's not good to spy on people right?"

He laughed, took my fingers in his and kissed them.
"I'm tired"

"We need a bubble bath"

"Yes we do" He smiled.
