Chapter 26 (Surgery Time) Casey p.o.v.

I looked at Raph in concern as Hope talked to him like a child. "Good, now can everyone leave the room. we all turned to leave but Hope continued to talk, "Casey? I need you to stay, everyone else has to go." I took in a shaky breath and turned back towards her. "Now that everyone is gone, will you tell us exactly what happened?" Donnie asked with concern. I looked at Raph and he looked at me, and I couldn't help but to feel real guilty. He nodded and I took in another breathe before I walked towards the table. "Donnie, can you leave us to some privacy please?" Hope stared at him and he glanced at us before nodding. He left and Raph sighed. "So, begin," Hope told us as she grabbed a price of paper and a pen. I looked at Raph while Blushing and he blushed too. I took a deep breath and started, "Well, he told me he loved me, then ran so I chased him. We fought and wrestled, and then we um......" I looked at Raph and he smiled, nodding his head. I continued, "After a while we started to um......kiss and I asked him out. When we came back he was limping but he told me he was fine and that I should get home because it was late. So yeah," I chuckled at the end. She nodded and wrote more things down. "We don't want's anyone ta know yet," Raph whispered and Hope looked up and nodded. "Doctor-patient-confidentiality, I swear. I'll just tell Donnie you guys wrestled and when you came back to the lair, Raph had a limp. Is that okay?" She asked softly. We both nodded and I grabbed Raph's hand and squeezed. He looked up at me worried. "Is there anything that can go wrong?" I asked Hope while staring into my boyfriends amazing and beautiful green eyes. "Well, yes. He could react to the anesthetic and not wake up. He could get an infection and possibly in the worst case scenario, he could lose his foot. He could also bleed out on the table or have a serious major blood clotting problem that could travel to his brain." I stared at his misty eyes that held fear and tears slipped from my eyes. "He could die?" I asked softly and her answer made the tears run down my face even faster and harder. "Yes." Her monotone voice made a sob escape my lips and I hugged Raph and cried into the crook of his neck. "Can he stay?" I heard him shift and ask her. "Yes, if we give you an epidural." My sobs quieted down after a few minutes while Raph had his arms gripped around my waist. I lifted my head out of the crook of his neck and sniffled. At first I didn't notice that I was in lap, sit like a little kid. "I love's ya," he whispered into my before I repeated the gesture. "Promise me that you won't die on me," I whispered as I hugged his plastron. "I swear dat I won't die on you's," he whispered in my ear.
They gave him the epidural in his hip and put a blanket up to block out view. We listened to music as I caressed his face. "I love you's, babe," he laughed groggily. I smiled and nodded knowing this was an effect created by the numbing medicine. I switch to music from a band called, Opeth, to a band called, Whether. He smiled at me and closed his eyes. The heart machine started to beep faster and faster. Hope came up to check on him and checked the monitor. She checked his pulse with her slightly bloodied glove. Raph's head and chest started to shake. "Donnie he's going into cardiac arrest," Hope shouted while trying to hold him down. "Casey, get up her and put his head inbetween your knees," she ordered and immediately did what I was told. Suddenly the monitor was quiet. Hope and Donnie came up to us and he performed CPR. he looked at Hope and ordered to get a kind of heart electrical machine. "Get off of the tanle, Casey," he ordered me. I jumped off of the table and started to cry. "Charge a hundred!" He shouted and Hope started to rub the pads together and put on his chest. His body jumped up a good two inches and they tried it again. "Charge to two-hundred!" And they repeated the process. This time the monitor started back up again. "We have to put him under, Donnie," Hope said as she got a big machine. He nodded and she out the mask on his face and he stopped twitching. Donnie Grabbed a big and thick knife and started to gut his chest open. Hope pulled off her gloves and she grabbed my shoulders. "You have to go out now, " her voice completely wiped of emotion but her eyes were a disaster. The lab door opened too easily and she pushed me out. After she closed the door behind I started pounding on it. "Let back in! He promised me he wouldn't die! Please let me see him! Let me in!" Everyone was crowding around me, but I didn't care. My boyfriend is dying and I'm not in there with him. I kept trying to break the door down, kicking and scratching as tears streamed down my face. "Let me see him, please, just one more time!" I banged on the door for the last time and slid down the door with back facing everyone. I cried and let my sobs escape my mouth as I cried one last thing, "He's my friend, let me in!" I stayed there and none tried to move me. I sat there and cried and screamed in anger, cursing Raph, Hope and Donnie. "You promised, Raph! You promised you wouldn't die on me! You swore it!" My voice cracking at every word. They all gasped and I cried harder. "Master Splinter, should we get Casey to a bed?" I heard Leo whisper to Master Splinter. I clawed at the door again as I heard a shout, "Charge to three-hundred!" I felt hands try to pull me up but I fought them. Another pair of hands pulled at me and I started screaming, I pushed, kicked, and scratched at the hands. I felt two more pairs of hands holding both of my wrist and ankles. I squirmed and screamed for Raph. "Let me see him, now!" Someone was crying loudly also but I couldn't see who it was. My eyes were blurred with tears and my energy level dropping fast. "It's my fault! I did this! Pleas let me see him!" I heard murmurs and then nothing. It went dark and I became unconscious immediately.
