The moon lowers over the horizon as dawn slowly starts to break in. But Valentin doesn't need sunlight to know what a ship cemetery looks like. Debris and lifeless marine bodies float on the ocean surface as the Fishman swims while balancing the mirror on his back.
"That's a lot of damage," Brulee comments from behind the mirror.
"That's nothing. I've seen her sink small islands, ships are just toys in comparison," Val explains. "But (y/n)'s discreet with her work, with infiltration being her specialty."
Katakuri observed the shipwrecks from within the mirror, wondering how many are already underwater. "This doesn't look discreet in the slightest,"
Among the wreckage was a single ship in the middle, luxurious, enormous, and still intact. Valentin attempts to climb the edge of the ship before a sniper shoots at him from a distance, he retrieves underwater to keep a tight hold on the mirror. He creates a miniature knock upstream by swimming in circles, propelling himself to land on the deck.
Apparently, there are still a few marine snipers around the area, not too happy about the Fishman boarding the world noble ship. Valentin scrambled inside the ship. He found an empty room to take refuge and place the mirror on the floor.
"Looks like there are a few marines still alive and kicking out there," the Fishman huffs, trying to regain his breath. "Go along without me Charlotte, I'll keep the mirror safe until you get back."
Katakuri agrees with a nod, emerging from the mirror with a determined look in his eyes. "I'm counting on you, Fishman."
"Likewise," Val adds.
______
Your previous experience with Doflamingo at intercepting heavily guarded ships finally gave its fruits.
For starters, cutting out the communication is key to avoid having the marines constantly dog-pile on you, second would be sinking the marine vessels guarding the tenryuubito. That was the easy part since all the marine ships have the same measurements, just use a portal to create a gaping hole at the haul and you're set. Boarding the tenryuubito ship itself was a bit more complicated, but you figured that transporting people to random locations is more time saving than just fighting them directly, even though it took a toll on your energy.
You're tired, disheveled, and vengeful. But hey, you made it all the way here didn't you?
You held the world noble at gunpoint, his empty threats and pitful crying fell on deaf ears as you give him a wrathful glare.
So close.
"What are you doing rabbit?" a familiar voice asked you from behind, but you didn't turn around. "Here I thought you were cunning and clever, don't make me take back my compliment." Katakuri sighs in exasperation. Taking a more casual approach to you.
"Didn't expect to meet you here jellybean," you reply in a dull tone. "I said I have personal issues to take care of, didn't I?"
"I can see that,"
Katakuri's eyes landed on the cowering tenryuubito, gross tears and snot running down his face as he curls on the ground.
"(y/n) you know I can't let you kill that man, it would be a death sentence for you too."
You laugh, but it isn't joyful." You think I'm gonna kill him?" you spare the sweet commander a side glance. "He's useless to me if he's dead, that's why I'm taking him hostage."
