You didn't need future vision to know they'd beat the hell outta you the moment you became handcuffed. So here you are, making your way down the hallway of whole cake chateau like a criminal on the death penalty, there's nothing too noteworthy except that it's hard to avoid wincing with every step you took. There were just a few chess soldiers and representatives of the big mom pirates walking around you, despite being surrounded, you kept stealing side glances at your main captor. Meeting Katakuri's eyes every time. It's like you can already read the wrapping question on his mind.

Why?

The sentient door chants happily at the sight of the pirates, opening itself with a loud and agonizing creak, a drum roll to announce your presence. "Mamama~ I never knew I'd finally get to see the infamous thief." Big mom cackles from her throne of pastries. "Though considering my precious son, it was just a matter of time."

A decent group applauds the second eldest son, you wanted to know his reaction to the attention but he simply looked away. Almost in shame, knowing full well he didn't capture you by his effort. The yonko silence the crowd, reminding them of your impending doom."You and your little group have stolen a vast amount from me moon thief, although I would've love to have them here too I can conform myself with just having you."

"I feel honored," you smile through crooked teeth. "Though, this is the part where I beg mercy for my life."

Laughter erupts from Big Mom, this is the most she's ever laughed all week! "You think you're in a position to demand mercy? Such a foolish girl, instead I'll let the wheel decide your fate!" You crane your head to the side. "The wheel?" even if it sounded like some sort of ploy, the chess soldiers pulled back large satin curtains to reveal a spinning wheel. You would've been excited at the sight since you love carnival games, but the more you noticed the 'prizes' the less excited you grew at playing. "Yes the wheel, give it a spin and it'll decide the compensation for your thievery." The whole crowd had their eyes set on you. With every step, you took towards the wheel and turning it with whatever dash of strength the handcuffs allowed. As the board spins, you can't help but notice that every single option is worse than the next, no matter where it lands it's meant to end terribly for you.

"1000? Something tells me it isn't referring to money." you trail off to yourself while the crowd snickers in cruel laughter.

"Mamá, if you were to reconsider," Katakuri interrupted. "The thief has potential, she could be useful for us." Even with the dreadful aura coming from the roulette and the crowd demanding your execution, you felt at peace knowing Katakuri has your back.

Big Mom pretended to look thoughtful. "Maybe I could reconsider..." she taps her nails against, shrugging off the suggestion. "That is if she survives me taking 1000 years from her life span." Katakuri felt his blood pressure drop, you spare him a nod of gratitude, catching the desperation in his stare before shutting your eyes. The last thing you see is a white shine of light in Lin Lin's hand, raining it over her head like a final attack." Life, or death?" she asks, waiting to see the terror on your face as the light escapes your body. But it never came. The crowd was no longer laughing, a sneer replacing Lin Lin's taunting expression from earlier.

"Consider yourself lucky," was all she said. Big Mom clutches the handles on her throne, splintering to bits as she turns to her children. "There's no way I'll be letting you go after everything you've stolen, so you'll repay me with labor by joining my crew. Which means you'll be wedded off to one of my sons" You lift your head, reopening your eyes at the yonko.

"Huh, not only do I get to live but I also gain a husband? Guess today is my lucky day." you chime. "If I were to pick-"

"Pick? As I said, you're in no position to pick." Big Mom snickers a bit, her scowl lessening. "Mont d'Or!" Lin Lin gesture to the man in the crowd. The scarecrow man looked both ways in confusion, pointing to himself making sure he heard correctly.
