Brulee waits patiently for Katakuri outside of Poire's room, tapping her long nails against her crossed arms.
When the older brother finally came out, Brulee was quick to express what's been on her mind all day.
"So, how was your day with your crush?" she asks sternly, eyeing her nails indifferently.
Katakuri sighs. "Not you too Brulee," rubbing his face with his gloved hand. "I don't have the time or energy for this, I'm heading to bed." he walks away, leaving behind Brulee to deal with her own issues.
"Fine, but don't think I'm dropping this topic anytime soon!" she points a finger at him
The witch-like woman shakes her head, relaxing her arms before peeking inside Poire's room, relieved to find the teen safely laying in her bed. But before she could close the door, Poire calls out to her.
"Brulee? What's the matter sis?" the teen sat up.
"I thought you were falling asleep by now. It's nothing, just wanted to check on you," she reassures the youngest.
"Okay, but I still want to get up early in case (y/n) stops by to say goodbye." the pinkette smiles to herself.
Brulee stays quiet, holding tightly onto the door frame.
Poire notices Brulee's sudden mood change. "You don't like her do you?" she asks.
"I don't," Brulee shakes her head. To avoid being eavesdropped by Katakuri, Brulee walks inside Poire's room and closing the door behind her. "What about you?"
"I like her, she's fun and nice to me," Poire smiles. "Brother Katakuri likes her too,"
Brulee groans in annoyance. "I know, I've seen the way he's around her sometimes."
"Why do you dislike her?"
The older sister sat on the edge of the bed, tapping her fingers on the covers. "It's not that I dislike her personally. In fact i've known about her for a while now before he told me about the double identity thing," Brulee opens up after so long. "Hell, I even offered him some advice beforehand! I did anything to help him. But atleast back then I knew she wouldn't be around for long, you know how mama gets when we pursue our own relationships."
Poire nods in agreement before Brulee continues.
"But now that she's been more prominent in Katakuri's life, I fear that maybe one day he'll no longer prioritize us," Brulee expresses sadly. "Who knows what will happen if that day ever comes, what if he chooses her over us? What if he leaves us...?"
'What if he leaves me?'
The witch like woman sniffs a little, her own fears and insecurities getting the best of her.
"Have you told brother Katakuri about this? how it makes you feel?"
"Not really," Brulee sulks.
"It's okay to be scared," Poire reassures her older sister. "Katakuri loves us, whatever decision he picks we'll just have to trust his judgment. Plus he's always thinking about us."
"He does doesn't he?" Brulee wipes a hand over her nose, smiling gently at the teenager. "Thank you Poire, I guess I just needed to get that out of my chest."
"No problem, that's what sisters are for." Poire crawls on her knees to gives Brulee a hug.
