Azul x Reader

It's funny how life can literally derail your plans and sometimes those detours could be fun and adventurous. And if you had managed to learn anything in your lifetime, it was that sometimes you just had to go with the flow. However nothing could have prepared you for this turn of events. It was supposed to be a fun day at the beach, just a fun day for you to relax and unwind from the stress of life. A day filled with nothing but playing in the waves of the ocean and looking for seashells and other things like tiny sea creatures in the shallow waters and all that jazz. At least that was the plan before you'd quite literally stumbled over something that threw a nasty wrench into said plans and left you questioning everything you'd ever known. Laying in the sand was a man, or at least half man, his lower half having eight extra limbs or rather tentacles attached. His skin was a light shade of purple with black markings along his upper body, and his hair a nice shade of white. Not too far from him was a pair of broken glasses. He was rather nice looking, however you hadn't really noticed this.

Oh no in fact you didn't notice much other  than the existential crisis you were currently experiencing. You had just found something that shouldn't even exist. You had found a mermaid, or rather merman on the beach. A merman, who was unconscious and that you had tripped over like a klutz while walking along the shore line because you weren't paying attention to your surroundings. Somewhat in a dazed stupor your gaze traveled over him, still trying to mentally process what you were seeing, until your gaze landed on his side and the small dark puddle being absorbed by the sand.

'He's hurt...'

That observation quickly snapped you out of your crisis and got you moving. In quick movements you made your way closer to the injured merman to see the damage, concern now being the main emotion you were experiencing. With a gentle hand you turned him over a bit and flinched when you saw the nasty, deep wound on his side. Not thinking twice you used the beach towel you'd been carrying in your small beach bag you quickly got to work wrapping it up to stop the bleeding. Once you were sure you'd wrapped it securely you'd found yourself facing another problem. Getting him to safety. Now you weren't the weakest person out there but you also weren't the strongest person either which left you at a stand still on where to go next. You'd already decided that you couldn't leave the merman alone, your conscience nor kind heart would allow you to even think about it. Looking around the area for some type of idea you finally saw a solution to your problem. A broken net laid a good ways away but it was the perfect thing to help you move this guy and get him to safety so you could clean his wound and see it better to access the actual damage. Getting back on to your feet, and pushing a strand of your hair out of your face you got to work.

"This is insane....jeez I can't believe I'm actually doing this...."

You mumbled to yourself as you dragged the net back towards the body. With a small huff and a bit of pushing you managed to roll him on to the net, quickly situating his arms and legs and body to be inside as to not get hurt even more. Once done you began the journey back to your ride so you could get back to your home. It took a good amount of time but you'd managed to get to your vehicle and after unlocking and moving things around you'd began to put him in. By the time you were done and getting into the driver's seat and starting the car up you felt exhausted. As you began to drive back towards your home with your new companion resting in the backseat, you couldn't help but let out a slightly high pitched laugh of disbelief and stress. You had found a merman, and you were now taking said merman to your home.

You just hope that your bathtub is big enough for him.
