Once we were on our feet, we started to check on my other classmates. there were about 24 of us before the bombs fell, so I hope they are all alive. We need all the manpower we can get to survive now, and I don't want anyone missing.

Nathan: Alright, I'll get Collin up you get Isabella.

Macie: Alright

Once decided we looked for our targets we went looking. I decided we needed these two because of their abilities to think rationally in times of stress. if anytime was a time of stress it was now.

I found Collin face down next to some of the others. He must have been shoved down by the rest of them because it looked like he did not land gracefully. I turned him on his side and checked his neck for a pulse. There was one, thank God, so I started slapping his face to get him to wake him up.

Nathan: Come on man WAKE UP!

Collin: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

He woke up screaming, of course.

Nathan: Oy! Calm down, your alive.

Collin: Ow, what happened?

Nathan: The apocalypse apparently, come on let's get you up.

I helped him get up slightly. It seems he is weaker than even I was when I first woke up, which makes sense. We walked over to the nearby wall and helped him sit down and rest up against it.

Macie: I found her.

Nathan: Found Collin too.

Isabella seemed as weak as Collin was. Her hair hung matted and low obscuring her face. Macie helped her rest against the wall as well.

Nathan: Anything you two remember after the blast?

Collin: No, nothing

Isabella: Same here.

Nathan: As expected

Now that those two were up we need to get the rest up. It will be a challenge calming everyone down once they are all fully lucid, but I think well manage. Now I need one more person to round out my "council".

Nathan: Now we need to find Warren, with him up we can the start to wake the rest up on mass. Collin, Isabella you guys rest up and regain your strength, Macie you're with me.

Rest: Alright

As I went to go and find warren I started to think. Why are they so complacent with me ordering them around? Is it a side effect of waking up or is it something else? These are questions for later though as I nearly tripped over him in the dim light of the hallway.

Nathan: Oh, dear lord, you nearly scared me.

He is lying, again face down, as to be expected at this rate, I did say take cover. He is an Asian kid who transferred here a few years ago, our love of similar amines and Jeana's of stories made sure we were quick friends. to say he was lithe was an understatement, it was as if he were a single shadow in a world of darkness. If we have to survive out here as a community, he would diffidently be a spy master of some kind, he has the build for it.

I, as I did with Collin, turned him on his side and checked for a pulse.
