Angelique's POV

I get to the arena today with a bounce in my step and a huge smile on my face. I excitedly pull open the door to the staff entrance not being able to wait for my tasks. "You're looking happy today" I hear a voice say, I turn and smile at Brayden, "yep, I just love this internship that's all" I explain to him, he laughs before disappearing beind a corner. I take out my phone and text Marcus,

A: I'm here, where can I find you?

M: I'll come get you

A: :)

I lean against the wall nearest to me as I wait for Marcus. I look through my twitter feed happily, "morning" I hear, I look up and see Marcus standing in front of me, "hey, so what am I doing today?" I ask him, "well the players will be doing some fitness testing and I need someone to record results, could you do that for me?" he explains, "sure just direct me in the right direction" I tell him smiling.

Marcus shows me the gym where the players will be doing their testing, I sit on a chair that is in the room as I look through all the papers on my clipboard. I see that they will be going through several different excersises that have to do with different parts of the body. The sheets already have names of players that I will be recording results for, I see that I will be in charge of 10 of the players including Josh, Brayden and Nic. I sigh knowing that this might get a little interesting after what happened last night. Before I can over think everything I hear footsteps, the door opens and the team walks in laughing and goofing off, no one has noticed me except the trainer that will also be recording results and helping out with the excersises. I stand up and walk to the trainer, "hi i'm Angelique, i'll be helping you out with recording results today" I tell him holding out a hand, "nice to meet you Angelique, I'm Chris, I'm glad that i'll have some helping hands today, I could use as much help as possible with these guys" he replies making me laugh. I think that's when the team finally realize that i'm in the room, "ANGIE!" they all scream happily making me cringe at the volume of their voices. I wave at the slightly smiling as I do so, "hey" I say not even trying to get to their level of volume. "Okay guys enough with her let's get started on these excersises, half of you will be with Angelique and the other half with me" Chris tells them. They all crowd around Chris to find out who they'll be with, my half finds their way to me smiling. "Hey guys so I assume you know what order you're going in, I'm just here to record results so if you have any questions ask Chris" I explain to them, they all nod, "okay so the first person on my list is Jake Virtanen" I say reading off of the first sheet.

This keeps going until I get to the last person which happens to be Josh. "Okay Josh you're up" I tell him writing down the last result from the previous player. I look up from my clipboard and Josh is smiling down at me, "ready?" I ask him, he nods and I gesture for him to start. I knew that having Josh in my little group was probably a bad thing from the start, but it really hits me now when I have to watch him sweat which makes his shirt stick to every single muscle on his chest and back. I try not to let it distract me so I focus on his face which doesn't give me the same effect as his body. I write down all of his results, "okay all done let's go see how the rest of the team is doing" I tell my half of the team with a smile on my face. They all nod and walk towards the other group of guys on the opposite side of the gym. Before I can take a step i'm brought backwards into someone's chest, the butterflies in my stomach tell me that it's Josh. I get out of his arms and turn to him, "Josh what are you doing?" I ask him sadly, he takes my small hands into his bigger ones looking into my eyes, "will you please go on one date with me, just one when you get off work today" he tells me, I look down at our hands thinking about it for a second. "Josh, if I go on this date will you please try to stay away from me, at least when i'm working?" i ask him peaking up at him, he nods enthusiastically and brings me into his arms, I cough once I smell the sweat on his body, "let me go you stink" I tell him squirming in his arms, he laughs but lets me go and walks towards the locker room. 

Brayden's POV

I watch Angie and Josh from the corner of my eye, as he brings her against his chest, I feel sad seeing them like that. I sigh and turn back towards the second half of the team that are finishing their excersises. I hang my head sighing knowing that I never actually had a chance with her anyways. No one notices my expression which i'm thankful for.

Angelique's POV

I pull out my turquoise dress from my suitcase smiling, I pair it with some silver heels that I packed just incase I needed to have some dressy clothes. I wait for my curling iron to heat up while I get into my dress. I curl my brown hair with a smile on my face, i proceed to put my makeup on and slip my heels on. I look at the time and I see that it's almost 8 which is when Josh is supposed to pick me up. We exchanged numbers before leaving from the arena and he texted me with the details for our date. I look at myself in the bathroom mirror one last time smiling at how I look. I sit on my bed while I wait for Josh, I play on my phone and check all my social media, as I scroll through my twitter feed I get a notification that Josh followed me which makes me smile even wider. I go to his profile and see his most recent tweet from a few minutes ago,

Hanging with the most beautiful girl in the world tonight....#goingtobeonetoremember #mygirl

The butterflies in my stomach go crazy at his second hashtag. I realize that I like it a lot when he thinks of me as his girl. I bite my lip trying to contain my goofy smile that i'm bound to put on my face. I realize that I can't wait for Josh to get here...

A/N I swear the date is the next chapter!!! I hope you guys are liking this and there is some jealousy present now that Brayden saw Angie and Josh together at the gym...very interesting....
