so here we are...kissing on my bed.

my stomach is a fucking rollercoaster right now.

"maxine we're home!!"

I pull away from jane and look at her. "my mom!! hide, quick!!"

there's a knock on the door.

"it'll be cool im not a boy so she'll think we're just friends" she whispers.

I roll my eyes and then smirk lightly. "okay whatever."

my mom opens the door, "oh- I didn't know you had a friend over, sweetie its late"

"I know jane was just-"

"leaving" she smiles sweetly at my mom. "nice to meet you, max is great" she smirks at me and then waves climbing out the window.

I look at her amused and then at my mom and shrug.

"honey i'm glad you've made a friend"

"yeah..." I blush lightly.

"max" I wave my hand in front of her face as she stares off somewhere in the hallway.

"huh? what?"

"what's up with you"

"oh nothing"

I look over my shoulder trying to see what she's looking at.

"well as I was saying i'm worried about mike I haven't seen him at school all day"

she finally pays attention.

"wait what?? we just saw him last night at his house"

"well he walked me home and that's the last time I saw him" I look downs at my shoes twiddling with my thumbs nervously.

"relax will maybe he's just sick"

"maybe...anyways lucas tells me you two were flirting last night"

oh no. should I just tell him...

I suck in a breath. "no no we weren't we're just friends"

"that's not what lucas thinks"

I shut my eyes with embarrassment. I like jane. and I think i'm a lesbian.

"oh gosh" I say aloud.

"what?"

"nothing"

wills eyes stay on me and then he shrugs.

"bye max see you later" jane says as she smiles clearly flirting.

I blush.

"what was that about?" will furrows his eyebrows.

"uh its a girl thing?"

will stares at me weirdly.

"anyways! um I got to get to class"

"its the end of the day..."

"right uh...bye will" I say heading towards the front doors of school.
