"UNEXPECTED DESIRE" SPENCER REID X READER CM FIC

Part 8 "distraction of attraction"

After what seemed to be an hour of racking your brains for ideas, you both finished getting ready. Y/N wore: a black fitted blazer, layered on top of a white button-up, with a tight body-forming pencil skirt. She could sense Reid had been staring, as soon as she walked out of the bathroom dressed. The makeup Y/N applied was light, since her goal wasn't to be looking over the top while working. Reid, being the cute/well put together genius, wore: a pair of converse, with navy blue pants, a sweater-vest, a tie, and a light blue button-up shirt. Being that you were now starting to find each other even more attractive, you couldn't keep your eyes off of one another. When you weren't looking he did and when you were looking he didn't.

The team had been waiting downstairs at the lobby for you two, in order to go to the local police station and start working. Little did they suspect your highly inappropriate feelings towards each other. When Y/N and Reid locked their room and made their way to the staircase they stopped.

Reid-"Y/N, wait! Don't go down the stairs at the same time I do!"

Y/N-" Why?!!"

Reid-" cuz- the team is gonna suspect that we got dressed at the same time and possibly other narratives as well... and by team- I specifically mean Derek and Garcia."

Y/N-" I don't know them that well, but when I arrived I noticed them eyeing me while conversing with you, on the jet. How about you go down first."

Reid-"Ok, count up to two minutes then come down the stairs!"
*Stepping down the stairs, he quickly made eye contact with Garcia and Morgan, who seemed very attentive.*

Morgan- "Hey Pretty boy! Have a good night? Did anything happen!?"
*Smirked and bumped Garcia's shoulder*

Garcia-" Did the Good Doctor heal a patient last night?!" *Giggled and covered her mouth lightly in a joking fashion.*

Reid- "For your information there was no patient healing of any kind..all we did was speak to each other..and carry out a very nice conversation. She seemed very nice."
*His voice full of nerves and cheeks fully flushed*( something did happen between the two of you but he wasn't going to admit it, because if he did Garcia and Morgan would continue to pester him with the subject.)

Morgan-"maybe not last night..but give it a couple more days, she seems chill. Look at her, she's smokin'.. If you don't want to ask her out then-I"
Garcia-"Don't get too excited Chocolate thunder, you still haven't dealt with me, yet.." *Flirts playfully and scrunches up nose*

Morgan-"of course, baby girl! How could I forget!" *Winks at Garcia*

Morgan-"all I'm saying is that you should get to know her more..or ask her out"

Reid-"look, I know why you're trying to set me up with Y/N.. because you guys think I still haven't gotten over Maeve..and well you're right..I don't think I ever will...but I know I have to move on..she would want me too. It's been exactly 300 days since I lost her. I miss her everyday, but I can't go on wallowing in books and anger."

Garcia goes to hug Reid, while Morgan puts a hand on his shoulder. Y/N was still at the top of the stairs and could hear everything, which made her think about how she didn't want to rush into things with Reid. He obviously needed time...but this morning he seemed TOTALLY ready to get it on... You still didn't know about the entire situation but you had to find out about it, coming from him. So you waited the remaining seconds and made your way down the stairs.

Y/N-"Hey, good morning guy's!"
*At the last step you waved at the team*

Reid, Morgan, Garcia: "Hey, good morning!"

Garcia- "Reid, well leave you two alone..now..enjoy.." *she pulled Morgan's arm and walked to: JJ, Hotch, and Rossi at the seating area.*

Reid- "Don't mind Garcia and Morgan, they just want me to be happy...they mean well.

Y/N- "oh don't worry I understand!"
*Smiles*

Reid-"so...how much of that conversation did you actually hear?"
*His hand going up to his forehead rubbing*

Y/N-" most and by most I mean ALL OF IT. I don't mean to pry but.."
Reid-" oh God.."
Y/N-"who's Maeve?"
Reid-" how about we go join the team now."

(Reid obviously didn't want to talk about this 'Maeve girl' or at least what happened to her or where she went. So Y/N let him be and walked over to the team as he suggested.)

Hotch, JJ, and Rossi: good morning!"
(Jj smiled, then eyeballed Y/N's outfit and said.)
Jj-" I usually don't make these comments at work but the outfit is lovely!"

Y/N-"Oh! thank you, yours is lovely, as well!" *You eyed her very stunning pantsuit*

Garcia-"Girls, we're all looking bangin' today!" *Her voice sassy as she snapped her fingers In the air.*

Garcia wore this palm tree printed sunset dress, that hugged her body nicely and stopped an inch at the knees. Layered on top, was a light sunset orange cropped cardigan with one button done. Her heels were orange as well, to go along with the tropical theme. Bracelets decorated her arms and a necklace guarded her neck. Since you were already checking out Garcia's outfit you figured you might as well do the same with everyone else on the team. Jj's pantsuit was dark grey but looked absolutely gorgeous on her body type. She was petite and could fit into almost any outfit she desired, almost like yourself. Saying that didn't imply that you two were perfect; because perfection is overrated and there is no such thing. For heaven sakes, you're only human! You both were around the same height too. Jj, was at least an inch and a half shorter, being that you were 5'8 1⁄2 . You could say that you were tall girls, considering the average height of a female averaging to 5 feet and 4 inches.

BMoving on, Y/N scoped the male members of the team. Hotch sported a: basic black suit, white button up shirt, a blue striped tie around his neck, and a pair of black dress shoes. Rossi slightly differed wearing: a pair of jeans, with a brownish/green blazer, and black button up shirt underneath. Morgan, was polar opposite to both of the men you'd just about finished describing. He wore: a light grey long sleeved shirt, fitted to his extremely toned body, and a pair of jeans with a black belt.
