"UNEXPECTED DESIRE" SPENCER REID X READER CM FIC

Part 9 "casual or obvious"

         The weather today seemed perfect. The air slightly more on the warm side with the sun which remained at its brightest state, like usual. The feeling was nostalgic in most ways to Y/N, being that she used to live here (on the island). Y/N reminisced the sensations, and memories of having resided on the island; but was quickly interrupted by the firm sound of Hotch, giving orders to the team.

Hotch-"it's time to head out! Garcia, Morgan, and Jj  you're with me. Rossi, Y/N, and Reid you go together. Let's go."*He checked his watch and began to walk his way to the hotel's exit.

    You were already SOOOOO anxious.  Your head naturally conceiving notions in your head, towards Reid. The fact that you were going to once again be around him in very close quarters was frightening you to your core. The only difference between yesterday and now was that another agent (Rossi) was going to be present. You wondered if Reid was also struggling internally with these ideas, as well. Was he too, trying to conceal his nerves as much as you attempted too. Especially, after having basically-technically-had mutual stimulation together, earlier this morning. The circumstances were quite odd, giving you more reasons to question your actions towards this new colleague. FUCK IT! You had no intentions of divulging this info to the team or wearing a shirt that read "I wanna fuck pretty boy over there!" Of course you were not entirely sure up to what extent you desired for the relationship to reach but you weren't opposed to having casual sex...like you had agreed on. Getting some wasn't a problem, it was hiding some that you weren't sure how to continue doing.. without fucking it up majorly. Being severely physically attracted to him was nice and all….but were you willing to compromise your new team status?! Maybe..if you legit knew he was worth it.  

      (Anyways, out of your thoughts and back into the current situation.)You were completely aware that your minds would float somewhere else, while sharing close seating. Regardless of having agreed on faking having no interest in socializing together; It was kinda pointless though since the team already spotted you two chatting up a storm in the morning. So...as it will always be said..you figured TO-HELL-WITH-IT!!  

(Next Y/N, Reid and Rossi proceeded to the SUV. Y/N was seated in the back with Reid, leaving Rossi to drive up in the front.)

Rossi- "Y/N so how does it feel being part of the team so far? Or being back on the island for that matter?" *Taking the wheel of the vehicle, he turned the car and drove  through the cobble-stoned road.*

Y/N- " It's certainly nostalgic being back home here. Also regarding the team, I certainly feel relaxed!"
*You said as you side eyed Reid*

Rossi-" I'm glad to hear you're feeling eased into the team as a new member! I hope this one hasn't overloaded your head with facts." *He smiled through the mirror and air signalled Reid, then resumed driving.*

Reid- "you have no idea"
*He whispered to himself*

Rossi-"Hey Reid, ya said something?"
*Looks back into the mirror to face Reid*

Reid- "No-no- I just coughed"
*Reid nervously smiled having been caught off guard.*

Y/N-" Ya-ok-there Dr. Genius?"
*You put your hand over your mouth while uttering your words, and letting out a small giggle*

Reid-"yes, I am...why wouldn't I be?!"
*His voice became low. He then bumped his foot with yours in an inconspicuous manner* (Basically telling you to fuck off, in the most playful of ways.) "Y/N, so what part of the island are you from?"

Y/N-" I grew up about an hour away, specifically in Bayamón. The island seems small but we've got distance."
*You like glanced out of the car window and at the scenery outside.*

Reid-" Did you know,
the current population of Puerto Rico is 2,842,432. According to Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data. So yes you're completely correct, the island does seem to be small, but contains a large population." *His hand in an awkward T-Rex like position as he shared his factoid with Y/N and Rossi.*

 

Y/N-"I had no idea. One would never think that, due to the size of the island..but yet again...us Latinos come in all: shapes, sizes, and colors. So we've also got variety here!" *You put a strand of hair behind your ears and looked at Reid while smiling.*

Reid-"I can tell." *He looked up and down at Y/N inconspicuously so Rossi wouldn't notice, and winked.*

(You being the softy that you are REALLY like REALLY wanted to hug him! Sooo badly! His smile was just SOOO perfect along with all of his other assets.)

Rossi-"kid, did you search all of that up before we landed here?"

Reid-"I might have widened my research on the island, before we landed.* A simple smirk crossed his lips.*

Rossi-"You're lucky Morgan isn't in here with us, cuz he would've fabricated an underlying joke after the 'pamphlet-like' info you just gave us. You amaze me kid!"
*His attitude is warm and friendly.*

 (Reid's smirk formed into a confused facial expression. Rossi, chuckled as he reacted to Reid's expression; Y/N on the other hand viewed their interaction; making her mouth curl into a smile.)
