A week passed before the event that Eunwoo told me finally arrived. He volunteered to give me a lift, which I declined since I don't want him to think that I am like any other girl he dated.
Irene and I had a talk about what will happen in the event, and she told me I should keep everything low-key except for my dress. She suggested that it'd be better to ask Eunwoo not to introduce me as a Park to the media. We don't want to fail because of the tabloid. Indeed, it will cause a backfire for my fabricated life if one media person knows about me being a Park.
When we arrive at the venue, Irene told me that we should stay in the car that we're in for a while, which I questioned immediately.
"Won't it be weird if we stayed here?" I asked.
"It won't be. I am waiting for the right timing for you to go out," Irene explained, creaking her head on the side.
"And that right timing is?"
"When Jaehyun arrives."
My eyes widened, "But why should we wait for him? Eunwoo is the one who invited me here and not that jerk!"
"Eunwoo's too public. It would be a risk if you go in with him," She says.
"Isn't Jaehyun like that too?"
"He is famous, but not everyone knows about him. He is the media's favorite. However, unlike Eunwoo, they don't go to the point where they pry about his life - most especially his relationships. You'll be safe if you go out in the car while he is entering."
"He won't agree of me entering with him. Trust me!" I told her.
That was the truth. Fine, my identity will be safe with Jaehyun. But I can't vouch that that guy would just let me slip away. It just doesn't make sense.
"He will," She corrected as she turns to me with a grinning face.
Crept out with her face, I scowled.
"That guy hates me, Irene!" I complained.
"He doesn't hate you. You just think he does, but he doesn't," Irene rolled her eyes.
"He hates me," I affirmed.
"Why are you more bothered that he hates you rather than Eunwoo is liking you?" This time, Irene's frowning at me.
My pulse throbbed, but I gulped it down, "T-That's not true. Your logic is not just making sense. Jaehyun would think so low of me if I enter the venue with him."
"Trust my senses, Rosé. I know he won't refuse with anything you asked him to. Believe in your charms," She assured me.
I sighed, "I don't allure him, Irene. He might just embarrass me in front of everybody."
"Just do what I told you. Jaehyun won't utter any word in the media."
"Wouldn't it be a question if I walk to the red carpet with him even though Eunwoo is supposed to be my date?" I questioned.
