~ third person's view ~

It's been a week and it's now time for the mixed circuses to perform their act within the king eyes. All of them are nervous except for a raven haired boy who has been cranky of not seeing her beloved for a while, because Mikan is the personal maid of the prince so she must me with him all the time making Natsume feel jealous.

"Hey Natsume, why don't you focus on the performance first?" Ruka said calming him down but failed, instead of making him calm he made him more mad.

"Ruka don't tell me what to do." He said and walked off leaving the preparing performers alone.

"Let's let him be for now." Tono senpai said placing his hand on Ruka's shoulder.

"Yeah ok." Ruka replied and help them prepare.

In the other hand Natsume walk off to his hang out place in the castle where he found two days after they arrive, can you guess? Of course it's the one and only tree-san located in the garden.

He hopped in the branch and close his eyes to calmed down but before we know it he fell asleep.

By the time Natsume is fast asleep Mikan and Hotaru are escorting the prince at the performance hall, where they will eat while watching the mixed circuses.

"Prince Kaname, please sit down here, beside the king's seat." Hotaru said calmly while Mikan prepared the utensils needed.

"Welcome king sama." They heard the servants said as the king came in the room.

Mikan and Hotaru hurriedly stood aside as the king went straight to his seat and waited.

"Good evening father." Prince Kaname bowed his head as the king looked at him and nodded.

"I believe you picked some interesting folks this time?" He asked and the prince brightened.

"Yes father they have an extraordinary act and have some unique alices." He said as the king just nod and looked at the stage in front of them where the red curtains are closed.

/ time skip /

"Good evening your majesties, we the mixed circus shall perform you the act of the of the unforgiven hero."

As Tono senpai introduce they started the act where the hero was force to do bad things and went to hard trials and in the end he didn't succeed and was force to leave in a lonely torturous life.

As the play ended the two majesties gave them a clap and the king surprisingly smiled.

"You chose some good performers this year son." He's majesty said as prince Kaname smiled.

"Thank you father, will you accept them?" He asked and he's father thought for a moment.

"Their alice are quite helpful, fire, shadow, amplification, levitation, illusion, mind reading, cooking, potion maker, and the cat and dog alice." He said and stop to think.

"I accept them." He said and the group brightened.

"Well then, all of you will start training first thing in the morning." Prince Kaname said as the group looked confuse.

"Not only you'll be performing but you'll also be trained here so that anytime there is an attack you'll know what to do." The king said and looked at them viciously.

"May I please ask but why do we need training?" Tono senpai said going in front.

"Because every year some bandits come to kill the royal performers so we need all of you to be in training when that time comes." He said and stood up, he looked at his son one last time and nodded at him then he left.

"What splendid performance you played, I wish you all good luck." Prince Kaname said and left with Mikan and Hotaru by his side.

As the Royals left, the performers were left there to clean up their mess but a certain raven haired clicked his tounge and taking his leave.

"Hey Natsume, why don't you help us huh?" Tsubasa senpai said landing on his shadow but Natsume lit up a fire around him making his shadow disappear.

"Shut up I need to do something." He said and exited the room, leaving the others to work.

~ Natsume's POV ~

'Tch bandit my ass, you just want us to fight you.' I thought.

I have been doing some individual investigation when we were back at the academy, the performers from last year died three weeks after they have been accepted, that was xxx 19 xxxx the performers from last last year died the first week they were here, that was in xxx 12 xxxx and the year before that was the longest, they were able to stay here for five weeks but they died half a month later and that was xxx 26 xxxx.

There were also reports that the family of those performers received some high cash from the castle, but why do the king do it?

Those dates has one thing in common, they are all on Mondays, my theory is something happens every Monday in this castle and when the king said they were training us everyday to get ready for any attacks, I believe hes the one to attack us.

The last king was the original, he has the soul alice, he can place his soul to other bodies or control the souls of the others and I feel that the last king is still lingering around this land, I just need to confirm it.

I went down the hall and followed Mikan to the prince's room, I just need to ask her some questions and I'll be off or so I thought.

"What are you doing here?" Mikan said making me almost bump into her.

"I need to ask you something." I said but then I heard footsteps coming, I looked around and saw a door and the footsteps came closer. I took Mikan's wrist and drag her to the door, seeing it's a store room.

"Natsume?!" She said startled but soon blush at our position, she was in front of me as I pinned her to the wall.

"Hmm you like it?" I teased and she just looked away and mumbled.

"What do you need?"

I didn't move and looked at her embarrassed face and to her soft plum lips, I slowly move closer and she notice me and moved her head to face me but our lips met as she stared in shock but soon we melted into the passionate kiss as our lips move perfectly in sync. We pulled out for air and saw her face red as a tomato but soon I realize what I came here for.

"I need to know something." I said and she just nodded for me to continue.

"What was the king doing while you were here?" I asked and she looked at me confused.

"He doesn't leave his room much, he only leaves when it's time to eat." She said and I nod in reply.

"Can you do me a favor and ask the prince about the kings personality?" I said and she smiled.

"Of course." She said and I nodded.

'Hmm I need to connect this.' I thought and kiss Mikan one last time before running off to our room.

'19, 12, 26 are all Mondays of each week. Employees are always short. The king doesn't leaves his office except when eating and what?' Ugh I'm too stress I need to calm down.

I run to the garden and went up the tree and there I sat to relax my head but I sense a certain someone in the distant.

"Persona why are you here?" I asked as he came towards me.

"I believe your close to finding to truth." He said and I just shrug.

"I might help you with it. One word and you'll understand everything." He said and I just sigh.

"What is it." I said a little irritated.

"manipulation." He said and for some reason everything connected in my head.

I sat up and saw no one there but now I know the truth, and the kings plan for us.

"Tch that bastard sure has guts." I cursed and ran to tell the others.
