Failure...

Moving School

Coby's pov
Today was a fresh start for me, I was moving to a new school. I was moving to Everton high. I needed this fresh start, I wanted to try and move on from what happened last year. It was ten to eight and I was in my school uniform and ready to head out the door. I walked out the door to go to the bus stop with my bag on my back, when I got there there was a group of five boys who looked my age all messing about. I stood there awkwardly, hoping that the bus would hurry up, until one of the boys came up to me, he looked nerdy and had short brown hair and glasses.
"Hi my name is Ethan." He said holding out his hand
"Hi I'm Coby, it's my first day at Everton High."
"Cool! I'll introduce you to the other guys!" He said leading me over to the other three boys. He introduced me to Alfie, Dexter and Rory. The bus then came to a stop straight in front of us, we got on one by one taking a seat at the front. Ethan sat next to me and Alfie, dexter and Rory all sat behind us.
"So how come your moving schools?" Ethan asked me
"It wasn't really working at my old school and plus I haven't had a great past. I need a fresh start."
"I'm sure you are going to have fun with us lot!" He said laughing with Alfie, Dexter and Rory joining in.

When we arrived at school, I couldn't help but stare at how big and modern it looked. I said bye to all the guys before walking into the main reception to ask for my timetable and map. I walked in and went over to the reception desk, there was a girl who also seemed to be getting a map and her timetable as well. Once she had collected them, I asked for mine and then ran to try and catch up with her. But I couldn't find her anywhere, instead of looking for her I looked at my timetable to see that my first lesson was maths, I looked at my map and saw that I wasn't that far from the maths block. So I walked to my first lesson.

Maths seemed to go okay, everyone seemed very welcoming. It was now break, I went to the canteen to see if I could see Ethan or anybody else I met this morning. I found Ethan and everyone else sitting at a table in the corner, I went over and sat down and grabbed a sandwich out my bag to eat. We all started having a conversation about random stuff before the bell went, meaning it was movement for the next lesson. I looked at my timetable to find it was Science, I walked into the science lab and saw the girl who was stood in front of me at reception earlier. I walked over casually to where she was sitting.
"Hi is this chair free?"
"Yeah." She said smiling at me.
I sat down and got out my science book.
"So, are you new here as well? It's just that when I went to reception to collect my timetable and map, I saw that you were collecting yours too."
"Yeah, I've just moved from Manchester. My mum has got a new job here." She said smiling. After chatting for a while about our old schools, I realised that we didn't actually know each other's names.
"I'm Coby by the way!" I said laughing.
"I'm Heidi". She said laughing with me.

Science went really quick and it was great getting to know Heidi, she seemed like a really kind girl and she was really pretty as well. She had shoulder length curly brown hair with crystal green eyes, her green eyes matched her skin tone perfectly. The rest of the day zoomed by, mostly because I either had lessons with Heidi or Ethan. I was also looking really forward to tonight because I had invited Ethan, Dexter, Rory and Alfie round so that I can get to know them better.

Ruby's pov
When Coby walked through the door I ran over to him straight away and gave him a hug.
"How was your first day at school?" I asked him still hugging him
"Great! Can you please let go of me now, I can't breathe!"
"Oh, right yeah! Sorry!" I said laughing and pulling away from him.
"Ummm... I've got a couple of mates coming over tonight..."
"Okay!" I said walking away from him to go to my room.

I got on with my homework as I usually do because I always have loads, and face timed Bruna. Once I had finished my homework and got changed, I heard the doorbell ring. Great. It was Coby's mates. I wasn't looking forward to meeting them. Anyway, I went downstairs to greet them. I sat in the living room for a while, getting to know Dexter who seemed very chatty, but while talking to Dexter I couldn't help but notice Rory staring at me. I looked back over to him and he smiled, I smiled back. He had light blonde hair that brought out his bright blue eyes, I had to admit that he was good looking but I don't think I like him.
