Failure...

Stood up- well kind of

I was excited in a way, because I was going to be spending the afternoon getting to know Rory a little bit more but in another way I was really nervous, being the person that I am. The last time we saw each other in person was Sunday, the day he came round after the night before. He was picking me up at one. Ever since Sunday, we have been texting loads, since we don't get to see each other in the week because we don't go to the same school. But I didn't really know what to wear because I didn't know where he was taking me.

In the end I decided to put on some red shorts with a beige belt, a leopard print top and black ankle boots. It was twelve o clock, I had one hour before Rory was coming to pick me up. I curled my hair and put on some makeup, after doing this it was about quarter to one, I went into Coby's room to tell him that I was going out and then went to tell my aunt rose as well.

It was half past one and Rory wasn't here. I pulled out my phone to find two text messages from megan, and 3 messages from Bruna as well as a missed face time call. I texted Rory to see if he was okay and if he was just running late, even though he was probably driving.
Me: Hi, r u ok? U r a bit late! Just wanted to see if everything is still on? x

It was now half past two and I have given up on waiting for Rory, so I went up to my bedroom and texted Bruna and Annabel. They both immediately replied asking me why I wasn't with Rory, I explained why and they didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to do or how to feel, I don't think that Rory would have done this on purpose, there must be a reason. I didn't want to bother him so I sat down in the living room and watched films all night.

*phone rings*
"Hello?" I say in a sleepy voice, not knowing who was calling at four in the morning
"Ruby! I'm sorry to call you at this time but I just wanted to let you know i didn't make it because I was involved in a car crash. I am so sorry this is all my fault! Don't worry I'm fine but I've got a broken arm and a few cuts and bruises. I am so sorry about earlier, I really like you! I needed to talk to you because I was panicking!"
"Rory! I knew that you wouldn't leave me like that! Are you sure you are okay?" I said concerned
"Yes I'm fine, I'm so sorry!"
"It's fine! I really like you too! How did it happen?"
"Well I sort of turned the corner and crashed into another car that was going way too fast. I promise as soon as I get out of hospital I will take you on another date."
"I would like that! You need to get some sleep! I'm coming to see you tomorrow!"
"Okay. Night!"
"Night!" And with that I ended the call.

I needed my sleep but after that, but there was no way I was getting back to sleep.

I woke up at half eight which means I must have fell asleep after being pretty sure that I wouldn't get back to sleep. I ate my breakfast and then got ready to go and see Rory in hospital. I wanted to stop at the shops on the way to get him a get well soon card and teddy bear, to hopefully cheer him up.

I walked up to the front desk with my teddy bear and card for Rory.
"Hi, I'm looking for Rory Baxter."
The receptionist nodded before typing in Rory's name to find out where he is.
"Turn your first left then go straight ahead until you come to a red door, go through it then it's your second right and he should be somewhere around there."
"Okay thank you." I said before setting off looking for Rory with the directions she had given me.

I easily found him, I like to say I am quite good at taking in directions and finding places.
"Hi!" I said running over to him, handing over my card and teddy bear
"Hello! Thank you so much for coming! And you look amazing!"
"Thank you!" I said blushing
"How are you?"
"Im okay. My arm is killing me though. I need to have a proper cast put on it later today." He said holding his arm in pain
"When do you get to come home?"
"Tomorrow hopefully!"
"That's great! I can't wait!"

I sat talking with Rory for a bit longer and then went because I needed some dinner and I needed to get some homework done for school tomorrow. I wasn't so worried now that I had been to see Rory, I just couldn't wait until he came home.
