"It's alright," the teacher said, cleaning up everything off of the floor. I bent down to help him since I got in the way of him while he was trying to put everything away. "Are you coming to do extra credit today?"
I stopped helping him and wondered what I could possibly say. If I denied the help, he might call my parents about my grades. If I accepted his help, he might make me feel uncomfortable again. My mom always told me if someone made you uncomfortable, to not be alone with them.
"Uh, yeah," I replied. He seemed satisfied and I saw a small smile play at his lips. After helping him with everything that dropped on the floor, I left the room graciously and went on a hunt for my brother. "Luke!" I yelled once he was visible.
"Hm?"
I looked at the girl attached to his side and rolled my eyes. He had another bimbo by his side. She was obviously playing dumb to win him over.
"Can you stay after school with me?" I pleaded. He thought for a moment and looked at the girl by his side. "I need a ride and..." It was clear that I had thought up a random excuse but Luke pretended he didn't notice. "The teacher wanted to see you too."
I gulped and waited for Luke's final answer. He looked at the girl by his side and then at my pleading face before deciding that he would. I sighed mentally and hugged him goodbye, heading off to study hall. I quickly texted him the information about where to go and when and he replied with a smiley face.
No more awkward uncomfortable silence.

"I need my schedule changed," I blurted out. The school counselor blinked her eyes at me as if I stuttered. I quietly sat down on the couch and closed the door shut behind me. "I need third period and eighth period changed." She looked towards the paper in my hand and immediately began to ponder over what to ask me. "I don't think they'll fulfill my learning ability.""Oh?" She clicked some things on her computer and looked down at my paper. "And why is that? Too fast? Too slow?"
"I've done all of the work last year," I whispered. She looked over at me with disbelief in her eyes and I elaborated. "I'm fine with going down a level towards Miss..." I thought for a moment about what teacher had the lower classmen. "Thomssy."
"I don't think that I should change your third period, but I can change your ninth period." She looked over at the class and I silently sighed under my breath. "What extracurricular do you want to take instead?"
"Driver's Ed," I pleaded. I knew for a fact that a girl taught that class from all of the mumbles about how she was hot. I rolled my eyes in disgust but managed to listen to what all of them were saying.
"Excellent, by tomorrow you'll be in her class." I smiled slightly and left the room. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get my third period class changed but I wasn't going to complain since she could easily put me back in my old ninth period.
Too bad, I really loved art class.
Immediately I walked towards the detention room and sat down in a spare desk. I wasn't the only one in here so I sighed when more students filed in the room. Making sure nobody sat down next to me, I placed my bag on the chair right next to me.
"She's the girl who beat up Aaron." I felt my body shake from what they were saying. I quietly leaned my head on the desk and let my ears tune in to what they were saying. I didn't actually beat him up, I just pushed him towards the ground.
If this is what everyone was thinking about me, then I felt really bad. I knew for a fact that Aaron was often bullied at school and it wouldn't help if he got beat up by a girl.
