I was surprised at how easy they could talk about behind my back. There down in the living room, my family was talking about me. Luke, mom, and dad. They were all talking about me because they all thought I was sleeping. I just happened to walk out of my room quietly when I heard them say my name, which resulted in me to sit at the top of the stairs and listen to them talk.
"She's not really coming out of her room anymore," my dad noted. "She's turning antisocial."
"She's a teenager, it happens," my mom defended. I smiled knowing that I could semi count on my mom for my back.
"She's already sixteen, antisocialness happens during the fourteen-fifteen process," Luke stated. Of course he would try to get my parents off of my side. "Does she even come out for food anymore?"
"Not that I know of," my mom stated.
"No."
That was such a lie. I took food when nobody was home or when they were all sleeping. I would never starve myself. I would do a diet, but never starve myself.
"Well, she needs new hobbies and friends," my dad confronted. "The moving thing is probably hurting her more than doing her good. Lets put her in a club or something?"
"What does she like to do?"
"C-can I do b-boxing?" I questioned as I come downstairs. The look on everyone's face as they noticed that I figured them out was all but rewarding. They all nodded their heads yes as if to make up for the loss and when I went upstairs, I couldn't help but overhear what Luke said.
"What's with the stutter?"
***"Your feet are too far apart," Aaron noted. I rolled my eyes and hit the bag twice while fixing my feet. "Good, do you feel a difference?" I barely nodded my head as I hit it again and Aaron looked down at the textbook as he recited something that I should repeat.
As he was teaching me and helped me with boxing, I noticed Missy hovering near the corner and peering over by us. I was quite interested in what she was doing but Aaron quickly knocked me out of my trance by flicking his fingers in my face.
"Come on," he said. I nodded my head and attempted to get in focus again but Aaron soon saw my distraction. He looked back behind him and instantly seemed like he knew something. "She wants to talk to you once we're done."
I nodded my head and hit the bag multiple times before Aaron made me do the jump rope. I rolled my eyes and read the paper aloud with him. As I messed up with the jump rope and tripped myself, Aaron laughed at me and held out his hand. I took it and laughed at myself too as I got back up.
"You should probably quickly see what Missy wants," Aaron said. I nodded my head as he helped a guy with his boxing.
When Missy saw me walking towards her, she instantly knew I would follow so she walked me into her office. I slowly sat in an empty chair and watched as she walked behind her desk. She booted up her computer and typed what she needed to before turning to me.
"Tanner, there are some things we need to talk about." My mind immediately flew to everything that I might've done wrong in her gym, ever. It was a long list but when Missy sighed, I immediately stopped thinking and turned to her. "Your mom..." She shook her head for a moment and it seemed like she was going to cry since she pinched the bridge of her nose. "You can't do boxing anymore."
"Why?"
"Your mom says she's taking you out." Missy shrugged her shoulders and I immediately stormed out of the room. I didn't even want to talk to anyone right now. I just went to the locker room, took a quick shower, and grabbed my gym bag and started to leave.
