i was getting ready for my first night out in over 7 months, to see all the people i once called my family. but i had lost contact with most of them, even my so call 'best friend' harry.

my hands shaking as i was applying my light makeup, not caking it on like how my ex jamie would want me to.
i curled my long brown hair, going against what jamie would like.
i wore a black bodycon dress, it had a square neck that showed just enough cleavage. i knew jamie would hate it if he saw me wear it.

but he is irrelevant tonight.

i sat ready in my flat waiting for the "we're outside x" text from freya and talia.

over the 7 months they have been there for me the most, even though i didn't dare tell them what had happened.
that may be why none of the boys kept in contact, well all except harry, harry checked up every now and then but would easily shut up with an "i'm fine" but i don't blame any of them, i never checked up on them either.

the text came through telling me the taxi was outside waiting, i checked myself in the mirror just once more to make sure i was content with how i looked before i leave.

once i was out of my building there was a taxi and i could see talia and freya both singing to a song that was playing, i laughed to myself as they both looked so silly from outside of the car. when they saw me both their faces lit up, making an even bigger smile creep on my face.

"you look so amazing em" freya shrieked

"oh my god you look so hot i can't" talia said

"oh stop it, look at both of you!!" i replied, feeling the love already

we gossiped about how they were both near drunk and how they are glad i was finally back on a night out. i felt a flash a guilt whenever they said it wasn't the same without me, i could have went about how i acted so much more different.

while i was daydreaming i felt the car come to a stop, the girls had already paid the taxi diver and were getting out.
before i got out i looked through the tinted window to see who was there, i saw everyone; josh, simon, ethan, jj, vik, tobi, chip, gee, kon, kirsty, freezy, lux, and sarah

i felt my heart beat even faster than before and i stepped out behind talia and freya, trying to not let everyone see me at once.

"emilia?! no way, it's been too long" josh drunkenly stumbled over to me while bringing me into a hug

"it's nice to see you back out" i heard simon say from behind me

"it's nice to be back out, and see everyone" i replied

i smiled at everyone and i expected everyone to start heading into the club but no one moved. i stood next to freezy and tapped his shoulder, he slightly bent down since he was quite tall

"who are we waiting for?" i asked freezy

"harry i think" he replied

"oh shit, how could i forget"

and almost on command he walked around the corner, but it wasn't the harry i was used to seeing. he would usually be so happy to be out, always have a smile on his but but now he had bags under his eyes and was already stumbling about like he just got back from a night out instead of just starting one.

"cal, is he okay?" i asked worried

"well ever since him and katie broke up he has been like this" freezy answered with a sympathetic look on his face

"him and katie broke up? what, i loved them together" i said disappointed

"this is you just finding out? it's been tiiimme" callum replied, finding it funny how long it's took me to find out

"how long?" i asked, slightly embarrassed

"almost 6 months i'm sure" freezy said trying to remember

i looked back at harry who hadn't even seen me yet

"well, let's get the party started shall we lads" harrys voice croaked

"look who's finally out lad" ethan said while pointing in my direction but harry failed to see me

"who" he asked confused

his eyes searched the group and after looking at everyone they finally landed on me.
his dark eyes lit up slightly when he saw me, he ran over and almost fell on his way.

"emilia! oh my fookin god" he shouted bringing me in to a hug

"hello harry, you alright?" i asked

"well....yeah i'm fine, lets go in now yeah?" he quickly dismissing the question

i looked back at the group expecting them to still be there waiting but they just have went in, i didn't even notice.

"yeah, of course"

we walked in, trying to find the booth where everyone was. we struggled to see them so we decided to go to the bar first instead.
we leaned on the bar, i ordered a vodka coke and harry got a pint.

"so where did you go for 2 years then" harry asked, talking over the busy bar

"it wasn't that long bog" i laughed

" it felt like it, but seriously how come you were never out" he perused

"i was just.....busy" i took a while to reply

"well that's bullshit em, but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. i'm just glad you're back" harry smiled at me, but his eyes just full of sadness

"so what happened with you and katie?" i asked, his face dropped at the mention of her name

"well s-she cheated, but i'm fine now it was a while ago" he sadly said, rubbing his temples

"sorry for asking, and sorry for what she done you didn't deserve it" i sympathetically replied

"don't be, we all have our own lives, they are all fucked in one way or another. want a shot?"  harry said, clearly wanting to move on from the subject

i nodded and he ordered two sambuca shots

"here's to being fucked up" he held up a shot glass

"here's to being fucked up" i replied, clinking our glasses together

we clinked our shot glasses and downed the drink. i felt the liquid spill down my throat, causing a burning sensation i hadn't felt in so long.

"let's go find the others" i said while trying to deal with the taste in my mouth

harry nodded and lead the way.
