✿ Chapter Twenty Two

" What was that?!" Shang gasp in panic, Tokki's cries began to erupt as the loud gunshot awoken his slumber.  Jungkook was still there, Frozen in his spot whilst repeating what Shang said to him from earlier. Without hesitation Shang slipped out of the bed, the pain on her lower part was no longer an importance as she sprinted to where Tokki was crying. Shushing the little boy when her mind began to wonder to her other son. Jayu...

The gunshot was loud, so Shang took the hint that the shot happened near the clinic. Jayu left the room a while later so there would be a good chances that her son was the one who got shot.  With fear in her beating heart she walked towards Jungkook in a hurry, shaking him whilst calling his name a couple of times. The man seem to be on a daze he finally returned to the reality by the loud cries of his son and Shang's begs.

"Jungkook!! Jayu... Jayu's out there!" Cried the mother who now had tears in her eyes, accompanying Tokki who also had tears. Tokki was still crying loud and throaty, she could sense the fear on her baby and so she tried to rock him, trying to reassure him and herself that everything will be okay and that Jayu would be safe.

Jungkook nodded, as if understanding what Shang had told him.

"Stay here and keep yourself and Tokki safe" with that he kissed her forhead— an action that Shang didn't realize due to the panic she had on her veins. She already forgot what she said to Jungkook. Unaware that her small little lie created an awareness to Jungkook's life.

Jungkook immediately ran outside the  door and probably would try to find Jayu or the person that caused the gunshot. The shot was only released one time and after that was only cries from Shang and Tokki was heard.

Jungkook had lef ten minutes ago when the door burst opened revealing a scared and crying Jayu, still on the clothes he had wore from earlier but with bloodstains. By this time Tokki stopped crying and Shang lost her breathing when he saw Jayu's bloody clothes and hand. She placed Tokki on the crib where she pulled to cover their selves from the shooter, then she hurriedly walked to Jayu who cried while running towards his mama.

"Baby are you hurt?! Are you okay?!" Asked Shang as soon as the dirty Jayu landed on her arms, she examine the crying one year old boy who began to sob and wipe his face to her mom's white night dress that soon had small stains of blood from Jayu's hands and clothe. Shang didn't care, she only hugged the little boy tightly, securing him on her arms.

"M-mama-- d-daddy is-i-is hurt" sobbed Jayu while trying to breath from the gush of tears. Shang shush the one year old boy, reassuring him that everything would be okay and that he is now safe with his mom and brother.

"Shh don't cry now. You're safe, we're safe" she kissed his sweaty forehead and carried him to where a sleeping Tokki was in his crib. Jayu sobbed quietly on Shang's arms.

"D-daddy... D-daddy wus-was walking mme to my roommm... W-when a lawd noys aand-a daddy is on the flor" Jayu tried to tell what happened earlier as great as he can, but his sobs would escape in his mouth and it only made him sad and scared. Shang sat on the floor with a sobbing Jayu on her lap, rocking him while whispering  him that everything will be okay.

" Daddy will be okay..."

Jungkook tried to find where the noise came from—even if he didn't really hear the shot since he was too focused on Shang's words than to bother what was happening on his background— but thankfully he manage to find the person who got shot.
