To say Katsuki Bakugou was impressed was an understatement. Not that he would ever admit to that of course. There was just a particular feeling of being surrounded by so many weapons. One that almost represented power. But Katsuki knew better.
"This. . .is very illegal," Katsuki spoke at last, although he made no move to do anything about it. Instead he picked up a pistol, checking to see if it had any bullets. Sure enough, there they were, lined up in neat rows as if they were just daring for him to take aim and shoot at the target sitting twenty feet away. His red eyes gazed over the other weapons before focusing on the pistol.
"Oh, we know," Toga replied, waiting eagerly to see his response. "Yeah. I guess I should have guessed. Considering you went as far as to kidnap me and all," Katsuki said, speaking to no one in particular.
Katsuki squeezed one eye shut and took aim at the target. "Don't forget to turn off-" Dabi warned him before being interrupted.
Bang!
A gunshot rang through the air and Dabi glared at Katsuki. "To turn off the safe. I know how a gun works," Katsuki scowled, putting the gun back down. He hated being told what to do. It was his life, he should get to choose what to do with it. He only has one after all. Katsuki looked at Dabi, expecting to see a look of annoyance on his face. A disappointed one met him instead.
"How'd you end up like this, kid?" Dabi asked quietly. Katsuki looked at the floor, not saying anything. What the hell are you supposed to say to that? "Well," Katsuki began, "I guess you could say it started with Class 1-A. Well, 2-A now."
"Kacchan!"
"And Broccoli Boy," Dabi reminded him. Katsuki snorted. " 'Broccoli Boy?' Seriously? That's what you're calling him now?" Dabi grinned. "Obviously." "For the last time," Katsuki said, shaking his head softly, "His name is Izuku Midoriya."
~O~
"Kacchan, that's not nice," Izuku scolded. "Oh, shut up, Deku! You sound like the old hag!" Katsuki growled, grabbing another plate. "Katsuki Bakugou," Izuku snapped suddenly, making Katsuki flinch, "I hope that's not what you're calling your mother."
"Ohhhh!" Denki Kaminari exclaimed, pointing a finger at Katsuki. "Someone's in trouble," He snickered, earning a sharp glare from Katsuki. "No. Well, at least not to her face. I'd be six feet under if I did that," Katsuki grumbled, drying the plate.
Izuku didn't know how they ended up washing dishes together. One second the class was debating who should do it, since they all pitched in and made food. Then next, Katsuki, Denki, and Izuku were the only ones left standing there. The training camp was going great for the first years in all truth. The class was getting closer as a whole and they were starting to connect. Even Katsuki, who had never had many friends. Not to mention that their quirks were beginning to get much stronger. Most of them could now use their quirks for nearly double the amount of time than before, which meant they were growing at a fast rate. They had, after all, only gotten there the day before.
"I can't believe Sero left me with you two!" Denki complained. "Huh? What's that supposed to mean?" Katsuki snarled, snatching another plate from him. "You guys are always arguing! I've never seen you not argue!" Denki pouted. Katsuki rolled his eyes and gave Izuku a look. "Kacchan thinks you're. . .not going in the right direction," Izkuk told Denki. "How'd you get all of that with one look? And are you sure he thinks that? Bakugo would cuss a whole lot more," Denki pointed out. "The nerd's never been a big fan of cussing. He says it's 'too rude!' " Katsuki mocked, putting air quotes around his words and making his voice higher pitched. "Kacchan! I don't sound like that," Izuku complained, poking Katsuki's forearm. "Course you do," Katsuki teased, raising an eyebrow at him. Izuku groaned in response. "Not that again! It was one time! And on accident!" "Didn't look like an accident to me," Katsuki replied.
