Chapter 9: Quarter Finals

It was almost time for the quarter finals, during the break however Todoroki pulled Midoriya aside, he asked if he was All Mights secret love child and such Izuku laughed at this saying no but asked why, Todoroki went to explain how his life was and about quirk marriages that were now outlawed. After that the quarter finals began the first match was Izuku vs Todoroki, Zen watched in anticipation cause this fight was going to be big,  The match began as Todoroki sent an Ice attack at Izuku but was countered with a 100% flick, Zen stands up out of his seat 'what is he doing, he has control of one for all so why is he breaking himself' Zen thought as the matched continued at a stalemate Midoryia broke his fingers "your trembling Todoroki, you haven't managed to put scratch on me yet" Izuku says as he tightens his hand with broken fingers "and that means you have a limit, but we're giving it our all to try and win to make our dreams to a reality"  The matches continues as Todorokis father watches as Midoriya slowly breaks himself. Zen walks up to the edge of the railing placing his hand down on the railing gripping it 'I understand what you're doing Izuku He says to himself "You can reject your father that's fine but you don't have the right to be number one if your not going to use your full power" Midoryia states as Todoroki now remembers everything from the abuse to his mother pouring boiling water on his left side to All mights words and his mothers . As his left side then ignites "In this hopeless situation you must be crazy so don't blame me for whats next" Todoroki states.

The two ready themselves as Izuku charges his full cowling up to max and charges Todoroki who sends one giant burst of flames at Izuku, but Izuku vanished Zen smirks as he lets go 'two weeks of training you push yourself almost to my level, you only broke yourself to help him' he says to himself as Izuku the appears on the side of Todoroki and kicks him in the side sending him flying out of bounds. The crowd erupts in cheers as the match is now over and the winner of round one of the quarter finals was Izuku Midoryia. Izuku held his hand up and smiled as he walked out of the stage but before fully exiting he stopped and looked at Zen who understood fully what he wanted.

Time passes on as the ring had to be repaired for the next match Zen was preparing himself as he wanted to end this quickly, he had to save energy for his match against Izuku. A few minutes pass it was time for Zens match  he stood across Shiozaki silently as the match was called to began Zen vanished and appeared behind Shiozaki chopping her on the neck before he could attack. "Sorry about that I don't like hitting women" He says as he catches her from falling and the medical bots show up and take her to the recovery girl. The crowd cheers not only for Zens swift movements but also how honorable he is. The other matches went by quickly as well Ashidos and Tokoyami's match was fairly quick as Tokoyami made dark shadow push Mina out of the ring declaring him the winner and moving to the finals. Bakugous and Kirishima's match was somewhat fast due to Kirishima blocking most of Bakugou's explosions drawing his time out on his quirk, and was sent out of the arena declaring Bakugou the winner. It was all set for the semi finals, two matches were going to happen in about thirty minutes the first was Izuku Midoriya vs Zenkichi Yagi and the other was Fumikage Tokoyami vs Katsuki Bakugou. Our hero sat patiently preparing himself, this was the first time he ever fought Izuku seriously and since the trained together they could anticipate everything. 'Izuku knows my main fighting style pretty well chances are ill have to switch it up' Zen thought to himself as he smiles as he cracks his knuckles 'in all honesty I'm getting pumped up' he thought as the door opens to reveal Yaoyorozu. "Hey" She says as she enters

"Hey,whats up?" Zen asks seeing if she needed something

"Not really I just came by to wish you luck on your match against Midoriya" Yaoyorozu says as Zen smiles at her

"Thanks, I appreciate it" He says as Zen is then called to the ring. As he exits the room he waves to Yaoyorozu and heads towards the ring.
