Chapter 15:Title Defense and Prepraring for Finals

Early in the morning our hero Zenkichi Yagi is doing his usual training routine, a morning jog and a small training session, he is currently doing his training sending punches and kicks in deep thought 'I really should incorporate more blasts into my style, me not using them could let things get more south in a battle seeing as I only rely on my physical abilities' Zen thought to himself as he quickly looks at the time to see school starts in two hours. Our hero continues training for thirty minutes, only to stop and prepare for school. As he prepares he looks at the blue hoodie that he bought the day before and smiled as he also bought a red one, he puts the hoodie on and finishes putting on his school uniform and grabs the Yuei Heavyweight Championship and heads out the door only eating a small breakfast. As he bolts out the door he jumps into the air and dashes off, 'the only reason I'm flying today is because of the media, it's been three days and I'm still on the news' Zen thought to himself as he flew to school.

After about five minutes of flying at a high speed our hero lands inside the gates of the school and walks to the class as he arrives at the class door he takes a deep breath and smiles as he walks inside. "Look Yagis here" Kaminari said as everyone now rushed him.

"How are you feeling?" Mina asked

"Im, fine a hundred percent healed and alive" Zen said as he smiles

"Dude, that fight was awesome especially that red form" Kirishima said as he looked at Zen "Use it during our fight for the title okay, I wanna challenge" He added as he has a big grin on his face

"I wish I could,I can't tap into it at the moment" Zen said as he chuckles 'Im saving it as a last resort' Zen though as he looks at Yaoyorozu approaching 'and this is where things get rough'

"Yagi please don't worry me like that again," Yaoyorozu said as she hugged Zen. Everyone in the class was shocked , even the super saiyan himself.

"Y-yeah that's the plan,can you let go now?" Zen asks as he is a little uncomfortable as he senses a familiar energy 'thank god' Zen thought as Yaoyorozu lets go.

Aizawa enters the room as he sees his class in their seats, he glances over at our hero and smiles "Problem Child good to have you back" Aizawa says as Zen nods and smiles "But I hope you're ready to defend the title today" He adds on.

"I am, honestly kinda excited" Zen says as he smiles

"Good, let's get this over with then go ahead and go change Kirishima and Yagi" Aizawa says as the two get up and leave the room, "As for everyone else there is no need to change so head to the gym and sit in the bleachers" Aizawa states as he then leaves the room.

It was time as the champion was the first in the arena he waited for his opponent as a minute later Kirishima entered and stopped at the opposite end, the two stared at each other. "Ladies and gents thank you for viewing today's event, the first Yuei championship title defense, on the right side we have the challenger Ejirou Kirishima" Mic says into the mic as people cheered at home and on campus "And on the left side we have the champion Zenkichi Yagi" Mic finished as the crowd continued their cheers as Zen held up the title and smile as he glances at the stands. 'Crap, Nejires here guess I gotta put on a good show now' Zen thought as he glances back at Kirishima as Midnight states the rules, same as the sports festival.

"Begin" Midnight shouts as the two boys rushed each other, as Zen got the first hit in that was blocked by Kirishima's hardened skin, Kirishima retaliated with a punch himself only for it to be dodge. Our hero smiled as he jumped over Kirishima and twisted his body to get a swift kick in, Kirishima was thrown off balance as he fell on the ground.
'Like I thought my normal punches are gonna be enough to affect his hardening, fine lets try this' Zen thought to himself as he let his energy engulf his fists.Our hero smirks as Kirishima began his assault again only for his attacks to be countered, 'Damn it, he breaking my hardening with theses attacks' Kirishima thought as he was then punched in the gut to let out a gasp for air as he was sent flying back. As Kirishima struggles to regain his breath our hero looks on. "Out of a whole week of internships I thought you would have improved the most Kirishima, I'm disappointed" Zen said out loud as this gained the redheads attention.

"What did you say?" Kirishima says as he looks up at the saiyan.

"I know you can do better than that, your supposed to be the unstoppable Red Riot aren't you?" Zen asks

"Yeah I am, and i'm not giving up not now" Kirishima says

"Good now give me everything you got" Zen says as he dashes Kirishima
'Harder, make it where you're unbreakable so you can win this' Kirishima says to himself as his quirk grows stronger making his skin harder than rock.

'Jackpot' Zen thought as he stops his assault and jumps back "See now thats what im
talking about, now we can take things up a notch" Zen says as he smiles and transforms into a super saiyan.

"Bring it" Kirishima states as he rushed our hero.

Both boys rush each other gaining closer and closer as the distance between them closes 'Sorry Kirishima but this is my win' Zen says to himself as he transfer energy into one fist 'savage strike' Zen says to himself and hits Kirishima square in the face sending him flying out of the ring declaring him the victor. Zen stands there and sighs as he deforms and walks out of the ring walking over to Kirishima. As he walks over he stops in front of the boy and holds out his hand and smiles. "Good job out the Kirishima, If anything you will definitely be the champion one day" Zen says as he helps the red head up.

"Thanks but I need to improve a lot more if I wanna be on your level Yagi" Kirishima says as he smiles

"Alright then, looks like things will only get exciting from here on out cause now Im looking forward to a rematch" Zen states as he was handed the title.

After the battle both boys headed back to the locker room and changed back into their uniform, as both boys walked back to class they talked about their fight and how they could help each other improve in the future and that they could make a good team when they become pros. As they reached the door Zen was tackled to the ground by none other than Nejire Hado. "N-Nejire what are you doing?' Zen asks blushing as the girl gets up as before the young super saiyan

"What else dummy, I came to congratulate you on your win" Nejire says as Zen smiles as he glances at what she is wearing.

"Thank that means a lot, but I couldn't help but notice you're wearing the hoodie I bought you" Zen smiles as Nejire turns a deep shade of red.

"Y-Yea I-It means a lot to me" Nejire stutter "But you're wearing the blue one so you have no room to talk Zen" She says as this catches our hero off guard and he blushes

"I-I Damn it you got me haha" Zen laughs out loud

"Well I gotta get to class, talk to you later Zeni" Nejre says as she walks of as Zen froze as he remembered for one last time and smiles 'guess i'm gonna be hearing that name again more often' Zen thought to himself

"Yo bro, you comin" Kirishima asks, peeking his head out of the door as he snaps Zen back to reality.

"Yeah my bad" Zen says as he enters class and goes to his seat as Aizawa was waiting patiently

"Alright now that everyone is here we can begin, finals are coming up you have two weeks to prepare for the written exam and the practical" Aizawa says as hand begin to raise

"Sir what does the practical consist of" Ilda asked hand chopping the air

"That is a surprise but let's just say it's gonna be hell for you" Aizawa says as he gives off a crazed grin as Zen just smirks.

Regardless of what it is I'm giving it my all, I'm gonna surpass my father one way or another' Zen thought to himself as Aizawa dismissed class and went to sleep.

Some of the class then begins freaking out over the written part of the exam as some of their grades weren't the best but luckily for our hero his grades were perfectly fine. As the class freakes out they get the Idea to go to Yaoyorozu the smartest person in class but this doesn't interest our hero at all so he just closes his eyes and thinks about strategy for the practical regardless if he doesn't know what's gonna happen. As just the Bakugou goes on a tirade as he goes to say that he is gonna surpass Izuku,Todoroki and Zen. "You hear my Goldilocks i'm gonna become stronger than you and become the best'' Bakugou says

"Go a head Bakugou but just know this" Zen says as he opens his eyes "I'm far beyond you level and you'll take a long time to catch up" Zen states as bakugou scoffs and leaves.

At the end of the day Zen flys home as he really thinks about the practical, but brushes it off as he gets home and decides to call it a day early as he would have no time to train as he prepares for the exams.
