adeline courtenay grew up not half a mile from ferndell hall, the residence of the holmes family. she grew up playing with the brothers sherlock and mycroft, and was considered to be a part of the family.
as adeline became a young lady she couldn't help but notice how intelligent and handsome sherlock was becoming, and he could not help but notice her beauty and methodical nature. and as the years went by, the two didn't dear part from each others side.
but when sherlock's ambitions got the better of him, he left, leaving a heart broken adeline,
to try and fill her heart adeline made good friends with the young enola, trying to find any essence of sherlock in her. adeline soon left as well, feeling trapped by her memories, although she couldn't part with sweet enola, who she never failed to visit.
especially when adeline received an urgent telegram from said girl.
