It's funny how I've posted more on this than I have on my actual fanfic

A single ding was all it took. The ring of the bell echoed through the room, landing on the breadstick and the cinnamon bun. Both of them were taken from their spots, now separated from each other in an emotional flurry. The cinnamon bun was taken to the counter, decorated with all the sweets. As the breadstick gazed at his friend from afar, he felt a little twist in his stomach, and at last, it was as if he was seeing for the first time. His world was lit up in nothing but the fragrance of vanilla and the taste of cinnamon. Golden stars scattered in his vision as the only thing he could see was the cinnamon bun in front of him, dressed up like an angel. This world was on fire, absolutely infatuated with this glorious pastry, only to have her be ripped right from his hands. He lost view of the cinnamon bun as he was set behind a wall or glass, towering high over him. On the other side he saw more of these... creatures. The ones that looked like his creators. However, he paid them no mind as he struggled to see where his angel went. His gaze landed on the creature to the left, coming into contact with his creator. The cinnamon bun was stuffed inside a flimsy brown contraption, the clear and shiny window on the front allowing the two to spend their last moments on each other. They soon drifted apart, the cinnamon bun now long gone out of the door. The breadstick sat there behind the wall of glass, watching as the creatures bigger than him were able to move. He had no sense of time, it simply was light or it was dark. Everything turned grey as he sat there, wondering where his beautiful angel was. Without his angel, he was nothing, he had nothing, and he lost everything. The sky turned dark as the clouds rolled in, throwing shade all over the room. It was quiet, empty, lonely. There was nobody there, no life. The air was still as small patters of water slipped down the walls of the room, tapping out a rhythm to the breadstick. It mocked him, he thought, and he hated everything. He never saw anything ever again, not the baker, not the apprentice. Everything was gone, and all that was left was the simple grey room.
