The next day at school, the girls were sitting on the bleachers waiting for Lois Lane who had an announcement for them. Morning girls. As you all know, I have an announcement to make. Coach Lane began. I'm having a baby. I'm sure you can tell from the big stomach. Lois put one hand on her stomach. I'm moving to Metropolis with Clark, my fiance. Which is why a new assistant coach will be starting tomorrow. Coach Lane explained. Well we're definitely going to miss you, coach Lane. lamented Allegra. Well I'm going to miss you guys as well. Especially this one. Coach Lane slowly bent down to pet Spike who was sprawled out on the grass. Now come on, group hug. But slowly. Lois smiled as she extended her arms. After embracing, the girls continued practicing their routine.

The school day had gone by in a blur and school was already out. Students flooded the halls and parking lots eager to get home. Iris and Sara had just picked up Spike from Principal West's office and were walking towards the field. You wanna go to Jitters this afternoon? Sara asked. I have to wait for my dad since he's my ride. But Okay. Iris responded. Cool, see you at 3:30? Sara hugged her friend before leaving.

Iris placed her bag on the bleacher and tied Spike's leash on one of the railings. B-E-A-T beat 'em she started chanting  while performing the routine. Iris was not aware that someone was watching her. She got on top of the second to last bleacher seat and stood on it and lifted one of her legs up while putting her arms in the air in some pose. She was facing the bleachers, not the field. So she couldn't see her surroundings. Suddenly, she began to feel wobbly and lost her balance. As she fell back, she was expecting to land on the hard floor. But instead, she found herself in the arms of a stranger.

Woah, are you okay? He's voice was appealing  and silvery. Um, I- Iris looked up at his eyes. He had the most beautiful eyes she has ever seen. Green, soft, gentle eyes that were staring right back at her. She finally snapped out of her trance. Uh yeah, I'm fine. Thanks. She said as the guy put her down. What were you doing there anyways? The guy asked. Oh, I was practicing a routine for the Central city Cheer Championship. Iris said nervously. Oh! So you must be one of the cheerleaders then. I'm Barry Allen, the new assistant coach. He smiled as he held out his hand. Iris West. She shook his hand.

Oh, I have to go. Iris spotted her dad over Barry's shoulder. She slang her bag over her shoulder and untied Spike's leash. Oh and this is Spike, our school mascot. Iris smiled. Hey Spike, its nice to meet you boy. Barry crouched down to pet him. Nice dog. He said as he got up. Well, I have to go. Iris began to walk forward, but before she could continue, Barry stopped her. Would you maybe wanna get a coffee? with me, at a later time? Barry babbled. I'm actually meeting my friend, Sara at Jitters later today. Do you maybe wanna come? Iris asked. Uh, sure. Yeah. Barry replied. I guess I'll see you at 3:30 then? Iris blushed. Yeah, see you then. Barry said as he watched her leave.

I see you've already met our new assistant coach. Joe said as they walked to the car. Yeah, he seems like a nice guy. Iris smiled.
