It was finally the day of Allegra's pool party, and Iris was in her room getting ready. She had on a bikini and some board shorts while admiring herself in the mirror. How do I look, boy? Iris turned to Spike who was sitting at the foot of the bed. The dog gave a bark as if responding to her question. Iris put on her sunglasses and grabbed her bag before exiting her room and going downstairs with Spike right behind her. Oh, you look... nice. Uh, where exactly re you going again? Joe West asked his daughter. I told you, I'm going to a pool party. And Sara's picking me up. Reiterated Iris as she checked her phone. Speaking of which, she's here. I have to go. They said their goodbyes as Iris gave her dad a kiss on the cheek.

Sara's red convertible pulled up in the driveway as Iris got in. Joe watched from the wimdow as the girls drove off. As soon as they got to Allegra's house, they headed straight for the backyard where they saw people having a good time. Iris! Sara! Allegra called out  when she and Nia spotted them. The girls embraced each other with a hug as they greeted. Hey, why don't you guys grab a drink? Allegra suggested. As they began to walk to the drinks table, Iris spotted Barry talking to some guys. Uh, you go on ahead. I'll catch up with you guys later. Iris said before going to find Barry.

Hi Iris. He greeted as she approached him. Hi. What are you doing here? Iris asked.  Allegra invited me. Barry gazed at her. Okay... But you're our coach, and kids are drinking. Iris murmured. Don't worry, I won't tell. Barry chuckled. Hey, uh, can we go somewhere and talk? Iris asked as she began to walk. Barry followed her to a place in the back that had a small patio table and chairs. Look, I think we're allowed to have a conversation without raising suspicion. Its when you start to act guilty. That's when they start to chatter. Barry took a seat at the table. Yeah, but I think Allegra's already chattering. Iris said as she remained standing. Its just a little jarring. When we do what we did.  And then you just cut it off like it didn't happen. Barry said. Its because it did happen. Iris put her hands on the table. But I feel like there's a connection here. And I know you feel the same way too. Barry moved his hand closer to Iris's. I meant what I said. I don't do this type of thing. Which is why it means something to me. Barry placed his hand on hers.

Look, it was a one time thing. And I'm a little scared that people are going to find out about it. Fretted Iris. I told you. No one will know. Its just our secret and I don't want you wiping it from your memory. Makes me feel like I'm the bad guy here. Like some creep. Barry said. I'm sorry. You're not a creep. Its just a little weird. Us all getting involved, right? Iris cringed. Yeah, I guess you're right. Barry faked a smile. Okay. Iris smiled back at him. Now go mingle before inquiring minds start to wonder. Barry chortled. Barry had a worried look on his face as he watched her leave.

Hey, where were you? Nia asked as Iris joined her friends. Uh... I was just talking to someone. Iris took a sip of her drink that she had came with.

That night, Iris had just gotten out of the shower and was changing into her pajamas. Her curtains in her bedroom window were still open, and she was not aware that Barry was sitting in his parked car watching her. As Iris got into bed and settled down for the night, her phone began to buzz. She checked the caller ID and when she saw it was Barry, she thought nothing of it, and ignored it and went to sleep. While she slept Barry continued to call her while still sitting in his car.
