What do you all think of my 'Seven Courts of Prythian' painting? Hope you enjoy this update!
I woke up after the sun had risen, my room filled with a warm glow. It was so different to the cold bedroom I shared with the Archeron sisters, there was nothing familiar here and the room felt empty. Despite the state that the Archeron's and I lived in, I missed it terribly.
I wonder how they are going by themselves, without Feyre to do the hunting and myself doing the daily chores they must be struggling. Hopefully Elia will be able to help them a little, maybe even Isaac. I was interrupted from my thoughts when a knock sounded at the door. "Come in?" I answered unsure who it was. The white wooden door swung open revealing Ilsa. "Good morning sweetheart. Oh, by the cauldron you aren't even out of bed yet!" I laughed nervously "sorry Ilsa, I was lost in my own thoughts."
As Ilsa busied herself in my closet fishing out clothes for me to wear for the day I heard her muffled reply. "Not to worry dear." Ilsa came out of the closet a pair of white ribboned slippers and a pale pink dress in hand. "Off you go, get dressed." She ushered me into the bathroom where I quickly got dressed. The dress was so soft against my skin, even before we lost all our money I had never worn something that felt as nice as this dress. After I finished dressing myself Ilsa had me sit down at the dresser as she brushed my hair before spinning it up into a braided crown that she wove little flowers into. I looked so different; it was a good different, I think. On top of my new fae ears, I looked clean and brighter. "Thank you Ilsa, I really appreciate the help. You did such an amazing job." I praised, while she just waved me off. "It's not a problem at all sweetheart, I'm just glad I was offered the position to look after you during your stay here. My dear friend Alis was paired with you friend Feyre, from what I heard she isn't as warm and welcoming to her new life." I sighed "I am sure in time Feyre will warm up to Alis and her new life. Feyre is an amazing person, her loyalty knows no bounds. She just tends to hide her warmth and compassion behind a ... well a mask." Ilsa smiled "Well she must be very lucky to have a friend like you by her side."
The door to my room opened and young boy also with a mask on walked in carrying a tray of breakfast. He set it down nervously before retreating. "Elliot!" Ilsa snapped causing him to freeze and turn back around. "Yes mother?" Ilsa is a mother, wow. "Come say hello to Arya." Twiddling with his fingers he came back towards us. "Hello Miss Arya." I smiled warmly at the boy and offered him my hand. "Hello Elliot, it's very nice to meet you. Thank you for bringing me such a lovely breakfast." Elliot blushed under my praise. "Thank you, Elliot sweetie. Now off you go I'll see you down in the kitchens soon." Elliot nodded, gave his mother a quick hug before dashing off out of the room again. I laughed. "Your son is so precious Ilsa." I exclaimed as I ate my breakfast greedily, I didn't eat last night so I was starving. "Thank you Arya."
I strolled out of my bedroom after I finished my breakfast. Ilsa told me that Feyre was in the gardens walking so I decided that I would go look for her. Everything is so strange with my new enhanced Fae senses, I ended up removing my slippers just to feel the soft green grass against my feet. I could feel every blade of grass brush against the soles of my feet, feel each slight vibration of the little critters that crawled amongst the soil and when I listened close enough, I could hear each of their tiny scurrying pitter patter footsteps. Across the garden I noticed Feyre, I was quite nervous to see my friend. I did look different especially with my Fae ears. I was literally the very thing we were raised to hate and fear. I think that everyone only chose to remember the bad factors of the Fae, both sides misunderstand each other and I could only hope that one day peace and unity could be found. Especially now that I am an immortal, it surely has to happen. One day.
Pulling up enough courage I continued towards her. "Feyre!" I called out to her. She turned around with a stiff posture and defensive eyes but as she saw me she relaxed. "Arya! I was so worried about you – Ary... your ears! What did they do to you?" Feyre snarled, this is what I was afraid of.
