Chapter 11: Pain into Evolution

A day later, Y/n was allowed to leave the infirmary, just not the school grounds. Weiss stuck to him like glue, and wouldn't let him leave her sight. Ruby and Y/n weren't in there, and sat down with her head in her hands. "What's wrong, Ruby?" Yang asked. Ruby sighed exhaustedly. "oh dear oum, she's momming him." She said to herself. Yang and opened the door to see Weiss having a conversation with Y/n. "Don't you give that shrug at me, You are NOT alright and you are heavily injured and people are after you and I  am not letting you waste energy trying to fend for yourself!" She scolded as Y/n whined, looking away before huffing and opening his mouth.

"Good boy." She said, carefully placed some meat under his jaws. "Now chew slowly." She said, to which he obliged, his eyes half lidded as he laid flat on the ground, looking like a huge, weird curved line. "This meat has some pain killing substance, so you should feel better a little quicker now." Weiss explained. Yang slammed the door shut, geeking. "Oh my Oum, Ruby you're right, they look like a mom and an angsty teen!" She said, laughing. As soon as she says that, Y/n's tail slides a book under the door which the two opens to a page which has the worlds: "Is that what others see you and Ruby as Yang?"

"HEY!"

(Later)

"Y/n?! Where'd you go?!" Weiss yelled, looking around. Y/n stuck his head out from the doorway to the JNPR Dorm, looking confused as hell. "There you are! Why didn't you tell me you were moving to a different room?! So you have any idea how worried I was?! What if someone ambused you again!" She scolded. Jaune walked over, "Weiss.... he literally walked a few steps across the hall.." He said, confused. His answer was a slap to the face hard enough to send him to the ground. "YOU'RE NOT IN THIS CONVERSATION, DUNCE!" She snapped. "And don't think I'm done with you, Y/n! You need tell me these things! Or at least gesture or something, I don't know, just don't leave without saying anything!" She scolded further.

Y/n looked dejected, before sliding his head back into JNPR's dorm. "HEY WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOI[?!" The door shut.

(A few Moment later)

Weiss was now inside JNPR's dorm, Y/n's head on her lap. His eyes were slighting teary as he was curled around Weiss tighter than usual. "I know I know it hurts...  You're doing a great job, Y/N. Never forget how good a boy you are, Just try and get to sleep, alright?" She reassured. petting his head gently as she comforted him. His wound were hurting more than usual at the moment, and constant burning pain whenever he so much as moved the tip of his tail wasn't something he was used to. Eventually, she got him to sleep. "Is he gonna be okay?" Nora asked, unusually quiet. "I hope so...." Weiss replied.

Suddenly, he woke up. "Y/n? What is it?" Weiss asked. He sniffed it. He got up, making a motion of something sliding down his arm. "Do you smell....blood?" Weiss asked nervously. He nodded. "Who's?"" Weiss asked. This is when he whined, pointing to his eyes. "White eyes? Silver eyes? Wait SILVER EYES-RUBY?!" She yelled, Y/n nodding quickly as he ignored the pain and ran out. Weiss following him as he tracked down the scent. They came to a stop behind the school. When they got there, Adam was there. Again but the two noticed the bandages peeking under his clothing. "Hmph. Took you long enough." He muttered.

They're eyes widen in shock as he turned to them to show he had his katana out, his blade on an unconscious Ruby's neck.

Ruby was blooided. beaten, and out cold, being held by her hair with Adam's blade on her neck. "I'm going to give you two options. One, you both live, but the silver eyed brat dies. And the option two, she lives, but your pet dies. Make your choice." He said ruthlessly. After a few seconds of deliberation, Y/n took a step forward. Weiss looked at him like he was insane, as he took another step forward/ "Hmph. Made your choice?" He asked. Y/n responds with suddenly using his tail to hit Adam's sword away from Ruby's neck. In return, he was suddenly hit by a sniper round and kicked into Weiss, who fell a few feet away from Y/n. "Pitiful. You really thought I wouldn't plan for something like that?" He asked unamused.
