Cha Cha Part 1 (Chase's POV)

Chase's POV
I pull Charli aside.
"Hey," I say.
"Hey," she says. She flashes a smile that makes my heart melt.
"What did you want to talk to me about?" she asks.
"Well, er, you see.....I kind of, well I-," I stutter.
"Just say it, Chase," Charli demands.
"I still like you!" I blurt out.
"Oh," she says.
"Yeah," I say and awkwardly rub my neck.
"Chase..," Charli starts.
"I know. I'm such an idiot for kissing Nessa. I was drunk that night. And you were hanging around your ex so much that it made me insecure. And I know that you just want to stay friends, but the thing is, Charli, you make me happy. You make me smile. And I miss you," I say hurriedly.
"Chase, that's sweet, but.." Charli says.
"But you don't like me back," I finish her off.
"No! That's not it. The thing is, that's how I feel too," Charli says, "Especially after tonight. But I don't trust you."
"Oh," I say.
"Yeah," Charli says.
"Then how do I earn your trust back?" I ask desperately. At this point, if she told me to go jump off a cliff, I would honestly do it.
"Let's go take this slowly okay? We can be friends, but I'm not going to close the door on getting back together," Charli says.
"Fine by me," I say.
"You don't really have a choice," she jokes.
"Haha, very funny," I say.
"I got the jokes today," she says. I genuinely laugh this time. She really does. We walked back to the living room and went on talking. We were the first ones back. Dixie and Noah were in the living room already, because that was where they were talking, but they don't count. After us, Jaden and Mads sat down.
When Josh, Nessa, Addison, and Bryce come back, the girls are so upset that all of them go home besides Charli, who's really sleepy from staying up too late.
"I'll take her," I volunteer.
"No funny business. That's my sister," Dixie warns.
"Yeah, yeah," I say. I pick up Charli and put her in the passenger seat. She sleeping soundly. She's really cute when she sleeps.
I've almost reached her home when she sleep talks and says., "Chase....I miss you."
