Dear Diary,
Concentrating in class today was a difficult job, as it was the last day of school. Besides being excited for tomorrow, the only other thing on my mind was the nightmare I had seen last night.

I was at one end of the dark corridor, and on the walls of it were zillions of lizards with big round eyes, jumping from wall-to-wall, creating that floppy sound you hear when a lizard falls on the ground with a thud. It was terrifying but for some reason I had to go to the other end. I ran towards the end of the corridor, trying to escape contact with the tiny disgusting pests. Just when I was about to reach the end of it I tripped and woke up with a start, my legs doing an awkward movement of falling. Once I realised it was a dream I was relieved of a few seconds. I couldn't fall asleep after that, scared that lizards would come crawling up my bed.

I've come to realise now that the nightmare must have been because of the encounter with the lizard in the bathroom last night. The nightmare escaped my mind after I binged on some ice-cream after lunch. My bags are packed and am set for tomorrow.

Excited, Elsa
