Betty x Reggie

I hope you like this. This is related to a situation I was in recently but lmao Enjoy!

Betty's POV: 

I've grown up hiding many of my emotions. I taught myself how to not get attached to people. I never got crushes ever. Jughead, my ex, I didn't have feelings for him until after we got together. I know it sounds but it is how I have grown up, I saw many good features in him but I never got the typical 'butterflies' which people get when they have a crush. That brings me to my next point. 

My head is spinning at the idea of Reggie Mantle. He confuses me a lot, but he makes me think about him in ways I haven't thought with others. Reggie makes me question a lot. I couldn't even explain why I like him. Sometimes I think he likes me, because he gives these gentle puppy eyes and asks me if I want to sit with them on the bus. However, he has his moments where he makes rude comments or harsh words, which I then question if he hates me. I don't even know if I am into him or if it is the attraction of one guy not always being nice or ignorant, therefore I want to know more. 

Anyway, today is Monday morning, and I pulled on a black top with checkered pants, usually I would have pastels on but not this time. I got ready and then ate breakfast, later I headed out the door. 

I stepped onto the school bus, kind of pointless as I could just walk for 30 minutes, but my mum payed for it. Walking down the middle row, I got called over by Reggie. 

"Hey, sit with me." He said tapping the spot next to him. I smiled at him and slid in next to him. "You doing better?" I asked him after the football game where he took a hard blow to the arm. He turned and smiled at me. "Why of course. Me not be okay?" he whispered with a chuckle. I giggled back at him. We then started discussing different topics such as the other plays and Moose who left to stonewall prep. Reggie had been bummed about one of his best players leaving. 

Reggie tends to have a resting bitch face. I will admit when I first spoke to him, I thought he hated me. He has his very dry replies and then talks to you like you don't know what he is saying. But when it is him and I, he is one of the sweetest people in the world, usually. On the other hand, he can be sweet in front of others. Kevin ships us because apparently he caught a glance that Reggie gave me. 

Finally the bus stopped at school. Reggie let me get out and then rushed off once we were out. No bye, nothing. I then followed and rushed over to Archie, who was also single but pinning after Veronica. I jumped onto his back and he started laughing. "Hello Betts," Archie said. The bell soon rang and we then headed towards class. 

After school:

I was walking out of school when I felt the cold breeze which was not there in the morning. I began shivering and Archie took his Varsity off and offered me it. I took it due to him having his hoodie. He chuckled at how big it was on me. 

"Why are you wearing Andrews' Jacket?" Reggie asked as the three of us waited for the bus. I giggled and said "Oh well I was kind of cold and he gave it to me. He had his hoodie so I figured why not. I needed a jacket." I replied jokingly. 

Reggie looked at me with an unreadable expression. "Oh well good for you, I wouldn't have given you mine." Reggie said, to which I kind of stumbled back. Archie looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Okay, well I have Archie's so I didn't need it." I replied to him with a mild frown. 

Those were the comments to which I was lost and confused. He was sweet but then these comments happened. I brushed it off and then jumped onto the bus once it pulled up. 

"Hey Arch, you coming to Pops tonight?" I asked him as he sat down next to me. Reggie sat behind us listening in. Archie nodded at me with a smile. "When have I missed it?" He rhetorically asked. I giggled at his reply. We then began talking with Reggie joining in.
