Chapter Seven: I Don't Do Drugs... I Am Drugs.

"Oh my. To what do I owe the honor of your angelic presence, My Queen?" Nicks face was tilted down, though his eyes stared right up toward me. Completing the eerie look he worked so well.

At his question, my eyes narrow at him. Causing his grin to curve in even more.

"I do think that is pretty obvious." I sneer, shocking myself how strong my words were, "A pretty explosive day, huh?"

He laughs, "Indeed." He lifts his hand to his neck, tracing his fingers along the bandage that were wrapped around his neck, down to his shoulder. "I show you mine if you show me your's." He tilts his hand, huffing in laughter. "How are the headaches?" He continues, "Or the sheering pain that burns through your veins when you bump into something."

I shiver, the hairs on my body standing straight up.

"Or maybe the burns that seem to go to the bone on you back. I trip into the fire, back first. Pushed. Meant to be pulled but still. It hurts right?"

"Enough!" I snap, my heart thumping.

He settles, though the smile still on his face. "Well, as for the explosive day... I"m very happy it caught your attention." He traces his fingers along the side of the table. "I've been needing to see you... Desperately so."

"Any reasons that might be important to me?" I ask, trying to focus on the topic, and not on the pain he had reminded me I was in.

"Oh yes, My Queen... Indeed." He nods, "Very much so."

I sit in silence waiting for him to tell me what was so important that he blew himself up for this.

To see me.

But he just stared amusingly at me.

"Well?" I snap.

"How have you been Fray?" He asks tilting his head in question.

"I'm not here to catch up!" I hiss, emphasizing my words, making sure he heard me clearly.

"I have the answer you want, isn't that right?" He looks to me with even more amusement, "Answer my questions first, with no curt answers please, and don't lie either."

"I don't have time for this fucking shit." I slam my hands down on the table pushing myself up and out of my seat and turning away from him.

I bit down on my bottom lip holding in a painful groan, Colin grabs my hand helping keep my balance. I nod thanking him as start walking to the door, with him on my heels.

But his words keep me frozen in my tracks.

"Bridgette Fray."

Nick never used my first name, he's only said it once or twice. But all the other times, its only been Fray, or My Queen or something shivering-ly creepy.

But they way he said it...

He sounded sane, and when I turned back toward him he was serious.

Sincere.
