Chapter 4 - Fight

~GORE WARNING?~

My blood froze. I looked her right in the eyes, hoping for her brother and sister to start laughing out of nowhere and tell her it was all just an act to scare her, but when I looked into those violet eyes I couldn't spot anything that would confirm she was just joking. Her eyes held a cold gaze, she was being serious.

She wasn't joking, she would actually kill her own brother to get what she wanted. I struggled to hold in a growl of disgust. Sister pierced those cold violet eyes right through my soul.

"So, what's your answer?" She asked, the cold tone still sticking to her voice like inkt. I blinked once turning my red gaze to the ground for a bit before lifting my head back up, chin high, proud as ever.

"I accept your challange ."I said. I was not going to lie about being surprised at how calm I sounded, like I wasn't about to fight my sister for the second time. She replied to my answer with no more than a pleased grin, I had to admit a smiling dinosaur with sharp crooked teeth wasn't exactly what I would call a pretty sight in any way or form.

My sister slowly crouched to the ground, her claws held infront of her, all the needle sharp nails spread out ready to latch on. They had actually decided to try and give themselves a name 2 days ago, I had decided I'd be called Indy. I quite liked the name, it had something.... gentle and calming to it.

Brother had decided he wanted his name to be heard and make people think of the calm beauty of nature, so he chose to call himself Chervil, he said it was some kind of plant he heard the humans talk about, and from what he had heard from them plants were nice and peacefull things. 

Sister had decided she'd much rather have people fear her when they heard her name, she wanted to name herself Bloodfang but me and Chevril had burst out laughing, or at least the closest we could make to that sound, which caused her to shorten her name to fang. Just fang.

How I wished it was still 2 days ago, 2 days ago fang hadn't even shown a single sign of aggresion. Her sudden change in personality felt like I was being hit in the face by a tail, out of nowhere, unexpected....

I crouched low to the aswell pulling my lips back in a growl revealing all of my teeth. As long as Fang was challenging me, I'd treat her like a challenger. Not sister, but a challenger, a danger to the pack, to the family, to brother, an enemy that needed to be disposed of  to keep the family safe.

We slowly began to circle eachother, our sickle claws tapping on the concrete as we both awaited the perfect moment to attack. I looked over to the side slightly to look at the place where brother had rushed off to when sister had released him from her cold grasp. I quickly spotted him, he was standing against the steel bar walls of the dome, pressed against the cold ground with fear clouding those caring brown eyes.

His fearfull gaze broke my heart and I turned my head fully towards him to give him a conforting croon. Fang had noticed I was distracted and out of nowhere charged forewards with a cry, causing my to snap my red gaze back onto her. I tried to avoid her attack but she was already way to close, she rammed her dark green head into my ribcage causing my to fly back and hit the steel bar wall, I gasped as all the air was pushed out of my lungs.

I could hear Chevril's distressed yelp. Sister was already charging at me again, this time I had enough time to reply to her attack and I hopped to the side at the last second causing her to hit her head on the steel bars with a pained cry.

I crouched down and pounced on her back with an angry roar, I had practiced with my roar quite alot for the last couple of weeks but It still surprised me when it no longer sounded like a squeak. It sounded like an actual threat, something you should fear. I could tell my sister feared the roar aswell as she snapped her violet eyes into my red ones with a slight hint of fear and awe in them.

I dug my needle sharp claws into her shoulders to prevent her from throwing me off, while I used my other claw to scratch at Fang's cheek. She let out a shriek of pain and started shaking herself to try and throw me off. I was quite impressed by the fact that she hadn't collapsed yet since I was bigger than her.

Sisters pained yelps now faded to make place for angry hissing. Fang charged towards the steel bars ramming her back into it causing me to gasp for air once again and let go of her back. I got up just in time to see Fang stumble back shaking her head to chase away a dizzy feeling. When my eyes locked with hers I could see nothing but pure hatred in those violet eyes.

Fang hated me.... For some reason it actually hurt more than the deep cut she had placed on my shoulder, I just wanted this to end, I wanted the fight to stop, I just wanted us to be a big happy family, like we should be. But I couldn't just give away the alpha position, something told me that if she were to become alpha, we'd all suffer under it.

Sister was too aggresive, she had already tried to convince us to attack the scientists. Brother had considered it, but I myself had given her a stern no, and an alpha's opinion made a big effect on the final decision. I actually liked the humans, they brough us food. One of the humans, a woman with curly black hair actually drew weird circled on my nose with her fingers when my siblings were sleeping. I didn't understand why but it felt nice, it made me feel loved.

I lunged at sister again, she tried to dodge. She was almost succesfull in doing so however I still managed to bite down on her tail, she shrieked and turned around within a second, we all had our own specialties, I was the biggest and the second in line when it came to strength , I also seemed to be the smartest and surprisingly was also just a tiny bit faster than my siblings.

Brother was the more cautious one, he kept us out of trouble. He was also the best climber and swimmer  among us, the humans had to close off the top of the dome because he had almost climbed out 5 times now.

And sister was the stealthiest of us and she also had the best reflexes, also being the strongest of our little pack, she once scared away a human who was trying to take out Chevril. The man lost a finger that day and we never saw him again. I had started frantically screaming at her afterwards, but that was mostly because it had scared me. Sister had decided that maybe if she were to give it to me as a gift for me to eat that it would all be better.

I had only let out a shrill shriek but sister wouldn't let me walk away before I had eaten the finger, I ended up feeling sick later that night and the humans had to take me out. I ended up throwing up in some humans face. I still saw that man in the lab sometimes, he'd usually throw me dirty looks. I don't think he was very happy with me throwing up a bloody and chewed up finger in his face.

Sister hit me in the head with one of her clawed hands sending me rolling back. I had enough of this fight I had to end it as quick as possible, maybe I could pin her to the ground till she'd give up. I crouched down and pounced, my goal was to pin her, just pin her, sadly fate didn't seem to like that. Sister shifted to a different position, my eyes widened as I noticed my claws went straight into her left eye. I bumped into her and fell to the ground, but I could clearly feel my claws pulling something loose with them.

Sister let out a pained roar, I had never heard one so loud before, one filled with so much pain. When my brother shrieked I knew my plan to pin had gotten out of hand. I heard my sister shriek accepting her defeat. I slowly opened my eyes and I found myself staring into that beautyful violet eye, except this time, it wasn't on sisters face, it was laying on the ground infront of me, some kind of red cord came out from behind it.

I let out a panicked shriek before looking over to sister, she was laying on the ground, a puddle of blood under her jaws, where her right eye used to be, was now an empty bleeding hole. I had clawed out one of my sisters eyes..

FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! I'm sorry if this chapter slightly grossed you out. But I did give a gore warning! Anyways I hope this chapter didn't dissapoint ;-;
