I continued laying on the ground, just staring at my sister with wide red eyes. She was still shrieking and roaring in pain, pushing her clawed hands over her eyes. I looked over to the side, to my brother, he still had his brown eyes locked onto our sister before turning his head to me.

It hurt, it hurt more than the claw and bitemarks from my battle with sister. The fear and horror in his eyes hurt so badly, he feared me, he looked like he thought i'd do the same to him. I wanted the ground to swallow me. I wanted to dissapear from sight to never return.

I looked at him with pleading eyes, eyes that begged for him to realize that I didn't mean to. The looks in his eyes slowly softened, I slightly relaxed, he got the sign, he realized it was a mistake.

I turned back to sister who was still laying on the ground as the puddle of bright red blood under her jaws continued to dubble in size. I carefully walked over on all fours and slowly extended my right clawed hand towards her. I carefully placed it on her shoulder with the goal to comfort her but was met with a loud distressed whine.

This was my fault... I caused her to loose one of her eyes and now she'd probably never trust me again! A loud whine escaped my own jaws causing sister to look up at me, forcing me face the damage I had caused head on. I lowered myself to the ground next to her and pushed myself against her side.

My sister returned the action, desperate for comfort and a feeling of safety. Brother rushed over and pressed against sisters other side. My sisters breathing eventually slowed as she fell asleep. Brother soon followed and not too much later I also fell asleep.

I opened my eyes and found myself located in an open field surrounded by trees. The field was huge! The thought of how far I could run on it excited me. But deep down I knew this was a dream, yet I longed for the huge space to be within my reach when I woke up again. I wanted more space than we had in our cramped dome.

I heard a deep growl behind me. It was the same sort of growl my sister would make when she was satisfied with something. I turned around and was met with a huge white therapod. It looked like me but just a whole lot bigger. Was I going to become that big? My stomach slightly twisted at the thought. Big size never really went right with me, my sister wanted to be big enough to tower over everyone, while I would rather be small enough to go unnoticed.

Yet at the same time I felt like I should be proud of my size if I did ever become that big. But then I noticed something on the huge white jaws of my bigger version. Blood, bright red blood covered the white snout and the crooked teeth. The strong smell of death set in playing with my sensitive nose.

The blood slowly dripped from the huge jaws onto the ground where a giant red puddle had formed. I took more time to study my bigger version and noticed both clawed hands were also covered with thick bright red blood, and bright red eyes looked down upon me with an emotionless yet sinister and satisfied look in them.

I took a few steps back while my bigger clone took a step forewards closing the distance between us. I started taking more steps an taking them faster, my bigger version changed their speed to.

Eventually I just turned and ran as fast as I could. I wanted to wake up again. For it to stop, so I ran to the trees to try and get some cover from the piercing red eyes. My clone was catching up fast but I just managed to make it to the bushes before it could catch up. I pressed myself to the ground inside one of the bushes thinking I was safe. Then I felt it grip around my neck.

My eyes shot open and I quickly looked around, I was back in the lab. But I quickly noticed I was placed on an iron table next to the dome I usually stayed. Chevril and Fang were pushed against the iron bars calling out to me. I could once again see the place where Fang's eye was once placed and it caused to let out a soft whimper.

The humans poked at my skin with something causing me to try and shift away from them only to find out I as trapped on the table. What did I do to trigger this behavior from them. Then I found the source. Instead of my normal white coloring, my scales had now tinted a green color which would be perfect to blend in with leaves.

I tried to push the green back so the white would return and it worked. They slowly faded back to the snowy white they normaly were. I heard the humans mumble something before they continued to poke me with the sticks again.

The glass door of the lab opened and a black haired man in a white lab coat walked in.

"So we managed to get the camouflage ability to work?" The black haired man asked talking very slowly as he stared at me.

"Y-yes sir. It was just sleeping and out of nowhere it started whining and then it's scales turned green." A man with blonde hair spoke.

"That's good. It didn't work with the prototype but I suppose it did work this time." The man mumbled. "Put it back in the dome. I want some tests done tomorrow. I need a little bit more info on my new little monsters." He said with a smile.

Once I was back in the dome I was immediatly met with my siblings. Fang no longer seemed fearfull so that made me happy. However the tests the black haired man was talking about kept bothering me. It sounded bad. But perhaps that was just me. I'd just have to find out tomorrow.
