1 year later.
"Hey."
Alessia looked up to the direction of the voice.
Ryan Tyler.
She looked left and right, looked at her back and then looked at him confused.
"Are you talking to me?" She pointed to herself.
Ryan chuckled at the girl's silliness, "Yes you."
"Oh." She said with furrowed eyebrows.
"Why are you talking to me?" She asked curiously.
"How can I not? You're literally the only person by yourself." He sat down beside Alessia.
She was currently in the library reading this book that really interested her yesterday.
"So whatcha reading?"
"The house by Danielle Steel." Alessia said.
Why am I even telling him this? It's none of his business.
"Wow. Danielle Steel huh. She's one of my favorites."
Alessia blinked at him in surprise, "You read?"
She knew the moment she said it out loud it really sounded stupid.
Plain and utterly stupid.
But Ryan just chuckled.
"Yes I read. I'm not stupid y'know. I need to read for education."
"Sorry." Alessia whispered.
"Don't sweat about it. Just keep on reading, I also have something to read about."
That's when Alessia noticed the huge book in front of Ryan.
"Sorry to say this, but are you a-" Alessia looked left and right.
"-nerd?"
"Nerd? Hmm. Sounds like something dangerous." Ryan said seriously before going back to his contagious smile.
"Something like that."
"Oh."
There was silence for a few minutes and Alessia looked up to see Ryan seriously reading the book.
He looked kind of hot.
Alessia blinked at her train of thoughts.
What am I thinking? Ugh.
She looked back at her book with a blush that Ryan would never know she had.
----
The bell rang and Ryan pushed his seat back and got up sending a smile to Alessia direction.
"Well, it was nice having to read with someone for a while. Catch you later." And with that he was out of the library.
Catch you later? Does this mean we'll see each other?
Alessia thought with confusion.
Nah. He'll probably forget about me in ten minutes if I'm lucky.
Alessia reassured herself. But a little part of her wants to meet him again.
Letting out a deep breath she left the library and walked to her next class.
